Max Attribute Points

Is there a way to get Attribute points after reaching level 20?

I find that maxing out two categories and putting a few points into a third works best for me. Seems like you can only get 2 categories to 12 and one to around 4 or so. I checked the manual but could find nothing about what the max number of points you could get for a character was.

I am trying to make my LVL20 warrior into a true killing machine and Strength and Swordsmanship of 12 seem to be the best way to go. I sure hate the health penalties that the runes give you for very small attribute point gains....

Any suggestions on if it is possible to get more attribute points and how they should be set up for a Wa/Ra combo?

You get 200 points max. Here's how you can distribute them.

Warriors aren't "True Killing Machines", but anyway...

Once you've reached LVL 20, the only way you can gain more attribute points is to complete two different quests that will grant you 15 attribute points for each mission. I can't recall the names of the quests, I'm sure if you searched the forums you'll find a thread discussing it.

One is in Destiny's Gorge, in the Crystal Desert. The quest is called Forgotten Ones. Complete that and talk to the NPC at the end of it and he'll give you Forgotten Wisdom, which will give you 15 Attribute Points. The second quest you can get from Vanyi (Sanyi?) in Droknar's Forge. I forget the prereq, I think it involves being ascended, or visiting the three secondary towns in the Desert, or something like that.

one of the 15 pt att quests is in the desert
the other is in droknar given by Vanyi.(you need to complete 1 of the quests that changes your secondary...you don't have to actually change your secondary however)

lets break this down shall we?

ex: superior rune of swordmanship: +3 swordmanship -75 health
attribute points needed for 12 in an attribute: 97

now then
points needed for 9 in attribute: 48
9 in attribute + 3 (superior rune): 12

you save: 97 - 48= 39 attribute points
if you've noticed, a superior rune can save you half of the points needed to get to 12. i'd gladly have 75 hp less and have 39 extra points to spend elsewhere

add in a minor rune of strength if you'd like and you save another 20 points. put in the bonus from the helm, booyah another 16. not to mention having 2 attributes at 12, you save 75 points to put elsewhere.

still think the "very small attribute point gain" from runes is that small?

I'm not saying they are useless, but they certainly aren't the highest damage dealers. They are the most consistent, steady damage dealers, and certainly have a few abilities that other classes just don't get.

More to the point of the original poster: Swords are the best defensive melee weapon. If you want maximum damage output, try axes. Hammers are powerful and are the best melee weapon for disruption, but slower than Axes or Swords.

It is also listed ingame under Fame/Rank but it is wrong (or not in yet, time will tell). You can only get more attribute points from the 2 quests mentioned.
