Hey everyone, i was wondering what fame is and how you get it.
Edit: I also noticed that you can sell dye somewhere later on in the game.
(i cant remember the name of the city) And I noticed that the price the dye trader buys for changes. Any reasons for that?
Fame... ?

You get fame for winning Tombs matches. The first few matches, you will gain 1 fame for winning a battle. It'll go up some as you win consecutive matches. If you hold the hall for a while, you can gain 20+ fame every match.
After you get to a certain fame, you go up in rank. I don't know the exact numbers but I think to get rank 1 you need about 25 fame and rank 3 you need about 180 fame. Once you get to rank 3, you gain the ability to use the /fame emote. When you use that, a graphic of a shiny animal will show up, making everyone aware of your high fame.

Post from another thread,
Hope that helps,

Once you rack up enough fame points, you get that "stick," which shows whenever you're in an outpost or a city. As you gain more and more fame, your fame ranking will go up, and so will the level of your stick. The stick doesn't do anything except for aesthetic purposes, and it does change with increasing levels of fame (a few levels look very very similar, or even the same, the last time I checked.. which was about three months ago). |
