The "Alt" Button of Nerfing (Not a Anet nerfing Rant)

Does it seem when you are anywhere and press the alt button all you get is crap out of things like barrels and other loot that was show by the alt button? I was in fissure and after anything died I would hit alt looking for loot, and i was mad so this poped into my head, so when i stoped i was getting my fair amount agian. I found this strange, anyone else have this happen to them?

Edit: If someone could run a test tonight that would be great, if not, i will do it tomarrow if i get the chance

Hmm... Very interesting. Are you saying that pressing 'Alt' activates some sort of anti-farming measure?

No im not saying there is such "anti-farming measure," its just when I would look for loot with it i would get jack

You're kidding, right? I'd say that it's 99% likely that you're just having bad luck and that Alt doesn't affect your drop rates. Still, stranger things have happened.

well i never press the alt key untill after everything is dead, and i still get jack... however ive always had bad luck with drops in every game i have ever played...

well, its impossible to bot without holding the alt key down, or at least harder because i think the bots check for a color to click on.

That would suck. Booby trapping a useful feature to set off an anti farming measure. That would be one of the brilliant ideas I wouldn't put past Anet either.

No joke, i have noticed this before to just never gave it much tought

I also think that maybe you are having bad luck. After killing off a mob, the first thing I do is press alt to make sure I don't miss any drops. I have just made it to Kryta and have so far got 3 Gold drops (while using the alt button).

Talking to my Brother, who is l20 and is at the Underworld/FoW, he says that he has NEVER had a Gold drop with any of his 3 characters........

I think luck has a part to play in this grand scheme......!
