Monk's path

I've gotten to the correct place on the map, and have seen the boss Soul Eater upon my approach, but once i get closer he disappears. After that a bunch of jade scarabs come at no end. Is is normal? do I have to kill all the jade scarabs in order to kill the boss soul eater? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Yeah, its normal you just have to kill a few 'wave's of scarabs before he resurfaces and you kill him. Good luck!

Yea you go through like 6 or more waves of scarabs before he pops back up again. Just bring some henchies with ya and youll be fine
