im trying to make a music video and im currently using a capture program called fraps that seems popular among guild wars movie makers. it captures scenes and puts it into an avi format. i edit the scenes in windows movie maker, and when i try to put in music it doesnt work. i read in some forums that windows movie maker has issues with .avi format and sound.
what do you use to capture/edit your videos? if you use windows movie maker, how do u get sound to work? help is greatly appreciated, thanks!!!

I've been trying out the free version of this http://www.planetgamecam.com. I also use WMM, but haven't had any problems adding sound. Make sure you have the latest version (there is an update for it on Windows Update site). If you still have problems convert the video format to something other than avi then try to add sound in WMM and see if it works.

I use FRAPS to capture the video and Virtual Dub to compress it.

I use fraps and WMM and haven't had any problems with sound. Can you be more specific about how it doesn't work? I drag and drop an mp3, and turn the slider so it's 100% music and 0% from the video footage and it works fine.

Most people use fraps. I know my sister does.
