Ello,

Recently upped to a nice logitech 5.1 set, and I had noticed that Guild Wars was only playing from the 2.1 channels. I was wondering if there was a way to have GW play 5.1? I know... vague question :P

have you tested to make sure that sound is coming from the other three speakers in any other application? you may need to set certain options for your soundcard.

I've got a 5.1 setup, and GW doesn't pump out much sound for me out of the rear speakers. Like AC said, make sure they are working correctly first. I don't recall there being any sound options dealing with surround in the GW options.

Yeah they are :P Usually I'd be pissed of a simple question such as that, but as I didn't mention anything in the original post, the questions were valid, heh.

I don't think GW supports surround sound.

I have 5.1 Surround and never heard it from GW. If I remeber correctly from another post GW doesn't support it at all. Still, its a great game to play and highly addictive.

Guild Wars does support 5.1 Surround
I got a 5.1 set a few weeks ago and had the same problem, heres what you do. Start>Programs>Creative>Creative MediaSource>Creative MeadiaSource Player, and where it says EAX in green outlining, there should be a button next to it that has "..." on it. Click it. Then got o CMSS 3D, click Enable CMSS 3D. And there you go.
Now im pretty sure this only works with logitech, and I hope this helps.

This is only emulation of 3D surround thanks your Audio Card (Creative in your case)
