Oddest Thing I've Heard Yet, Any Clue?

My friend was just asking me about this and I have no clue what it means, nor have I EVER heard about it before, so I thought I'd bring it before the peanut gallery

He says he was walking through the wilderness aroud Yak's Bend, and suddenly a system messaged popped up on his screen (Same green that tells you to reboot cause of a new build) That said:

"Your world has lost favor with the Gods."

I don't know what to tell him, any clue what it means or WHY it showed up?

was this around the time of the end?? Could be a DEV prank?

He says it was about mid day, so that doesnt make sense.

They lost the tourney battle and another country won, at last that seems to be what those were. One country would hold the hall for some amount of time and then another would finally beat them, I believe that is whe you would see that message. But it's pure speculation on my part as I don't pay much attention to chat when questing.

He didnt play PvP or GvG...nor did our guild

did not matter during last BWE when ever you lost the tourney battle and another country won the shout was world wide so I have heard

For this BWE they instigated a World Designation at sign-in screen. Basically that put you into the "american or european "worlds" (had to choose one)..every time a guild from your "world" won and held the HoH..that world held the favor of the gods. (had something to do with the new quest/PvP area opening up)

Once a different "world" won and held HoH... yours would "lose the favor" so to speak and lose accessibility to that new area. There are some threads on that area and what entailed getting into it. It was all tied into "gaining favor of gods" though in HoH combat wins. That was the WaW (worlds at War) concept they were testing out this BWE.

This is part of the Worlds at War system. When a team from your world holds the Hall of Heroes in Tombs, everyone from that world will get a message saying that your world has gained the favor of the gods. When a team from another world defeats the defending team in HoH, the message that you lost the favor of the gods also appears.

Nothing too bizzare. Just part of the new system.
