Is the Warrior/Mo the only character that can do runs to Forge?

I know that you need skills like sprint, charge, and balanced stance to get to forge, but skills like mending, purge condition, and undo hex are just as necessary.

I have a Warrior/Ele and can get past everything but the ice golems and mages that slow me down. Are there any warrior or other secondary skills that negate the effects of being slowed or crippled?

Xen of Onslaught [XoO]

W/Mo

W/Mo is the usual build, though I've heard of W/R doing forge runs as well (more running skills) but they have no way to heal and to get rid of conditions.

I know that the elemenatalist has a spell that protects person from 75% of ranged attacks, a mesmer can reverse hexes...etc but I have yet to see any class other than the W/Mo do it.

At what point in the game can I change my secondary?

After Ascension, in the three non-mission desert towns (Seeker's Passage, Destiny's Gorge, and Heroes' Audience).

There are NPCs there for which you'll do a kill quest, and thereafter you're freely able to change your sub to any of the quests you've already completed. So, if you complete the Warrior and Ranger sub quests, then you can talk to any of the quest NPCs and switch your sub back and forth as often as you please.

I have a friend of mine that does run to Droknar's Forge, and he's a Ranger / Warrior

We ran together for fun, I died twice ( with my Warrior / Monk ), and he was still at 100% at Camp Rankor ...

One more question...for a War/Mo what skills are necessary to make the run? The thing that always gets me are spell that slow me down even when I am sprinting. Does "charge" ignore these spells? Or do you need something like purge condition to remove them?

I can make the run with my R/Mo...though not completely reliably.

Whichever one removes states.
