I'm a big fan of PvE, but it doesn't last forever, once you've finished the game four times with four classes and conquered the harder areas of the game, the natural progression is to more more into PvP. But the three PvP options are very limited.
The Hall of Heros is the best of the bunch by far: about a dozen maps and various game types in a huge international tournament, everyone loves it and the competition is great. This part I have no real problem with
Guild vs. Guild combat is a little less popular. There are basically five different guild maps, with the possibility of attacking or defending on each one. And there's only one gameplay type: kill the guildlord. It's a fun game but it's very limited. Making new guild maps is a pretty big job and would require a lot of testing etc. so I don't expect to see any outside of new chapters.
My real gripe is with the Arenas. I've been mapping from Doom to Morrowing and have explored many different game map editors in between. A small, simple map with no scripted sequences, item placement, AI worries etc. can be made in about a day, and will usually have no bugs (other than minor cosmentic issues) if you're experienced with the mapping tools. So how many maps are there for the arenas? Five. Let's not count the pre-searing and otehr low-level maps, when you get to the team arenas you'll be playing on one of five maps (beach, jungle, desert, ice, fire). Now this part of the game basically amounts to one third of tGuild Wars' PvP content, yet it seems to have had almost no work put into it. The five maps that we do have are great, but there just aren't enough of them, not by a long way.
So here's my main suggestion: make more arena maps, it's surely not that hard to do, if some arenanet environment artists or level designers are out there with a free evening, stay late and start building one! If not, just send me the mapping tools and I'll do some for you
