If u have a weapon with an upgrade can u salvage it and get the upgrade back or is there another way

if u use an expert salvage kit, u will be able to salvage the upgrade back, however there is also chances whereby u can only get materials. and hell ya, i get irons while salvaging a +30hp gold sword. T.T
