New Update!!
Brother Andicus
Thanks for the update. I too write software, and I appreciated it was probably something small that was overlooked. Next time i'll use the [sarcasm]..[/sarcasm] tags to avoid any confusion.
I'm Glad Anet supports this game so well, and can live without PvP for 30mins ever now and again. Especially as I use my PvE char for PvP at the moment anyway.

What I've heard about the exploit is that some of the PVP only items were turning out not to be PVP only. Maxed out items were entertaing PVE when they weren't supposed to.
That's just what I heard...

Why don't they ever tell us what the exploits were after they closed it?

Aww i was hoping they were going to fix some of the broken skills out there or maybe fix the economy. Guess i gotta wait til Wedsnday.
Mawgleah
Probably for the same reason that most people won't divulge where their weaknesses are. While a good majority of us wouldn't use this kind of information to our advantage, a few would. And while this particular exploit may be fixed, knowing the full details about it might provide fodder for those less scrupulous members of our community.

Thats the first in game exploit i hadn't heard about before it was nerfed. I wonder if it was an exploit exploit or more of a game bug that made odd things happen to peoples armor.
Whats the point? It don't work after it is closed. I do find myself wanting to know every litle detail related to this exploit. this one sounds like a funny exploit.

What was strange about the balth thing was that almost every tema we faced after we won 4 or 5 HoH matchs all had balth aura and before this HoH run no one was using smiting.
Here i've never released these screenshots, probably too lazy:

This brings me one offtopic question.
What happens if after someone has cast you for example Conjure Phantasm with 16 skill and after this before the hex ends another cast you the same magic with skill 5?

sigh... you guys are all noobs. The exploit was that you could wear your pants on your head for an extra armor bonus and to double as bunny ears... seriously, you guys never saw that?

If you cast, say, Healing Breeze at 16 healing prayers, and someone else cast Healing Breeze at 0 healing prayers 2 seconds later, and neither had an enchantment mod, then the target would have 9 regeneration for 10 seconds, and 3 regeneration for 2 seconds.

I've got a question, did Divine Boon ever trigger Zealot's Fire? Over the last week I kept seeing it on Smiter's skill bar, and I figured they were using it to trigger Zealots. Anyway, I tried to build a smiter and trigger it /w Divine Boon and it doesn't seem to work... perhaps I'm not understanding Zealots?

IxChel: just tested it, works fine. Opponents need to be adjacent to you for it to work though, not simply nearby.

hmm.. guess there will be no update for the price issues that we all have with certain materials or items. (example, black dye, everywhere i go to, 10k or more is selling from the merchant)

Given the state of the economy in GW, I'll gladly advertise Viagra and Microsoft on my armor for several plat per day.

I saw something on another forum a while back.. a forum totally unrelated to GW by the way.. I'll paraphrase. I apologize to PD if I got his quote wrong.
"Whining is effective. That is why humans are at the top of the food chain & all other animals got nerfed."

Getting back to the origanal post regarding UPDATES.
Gaile Grey if your still reading this thread. Can you give a more defined date as to when the new Summer release will take place, ITS SUMMER NOW?.
As the updates have now moved to fortnightly it would be great to have a confirmed date to look forward too. This Wednesdays would be nice but I would have thourght Anet would have bigged it up by now if it was this Wednesday.
Ive sat quiet over the last 3 to 4 weeks and completed game again with a new char. But as moaned about in many other posts, End game PVE is boring for Euro players who need UW/Fis to keep us going. I and many other PVE Need that new area to keep us involved in this great game.

The "screwing up" mob is some sort of spellcaster, usually with enchantment removal, combined with a mob with a snare, as most botters & farmers rely heavily on enchantments and sprinting past all mobs except the target mob.
The Gates of Kryta lightning drakes is a good example - they still drop as good stuff as they ever have, but you have to get past those undead mesmers, rangers, and grappling ghouls, and the drakes now do the amount of damage they were supposed to (they were originally much weaker).

Are you sure it still triggers? I just tried it again, and I'm not getting that pretty yellow thing and my nearby opponent's health bars are not going down. By contrast, if I use reversal of fortune on myself, I get the orange fire thing, and my opponent's health bars *do* go down. |
