Best site idea ever...

Well, probably not.
It would be a great addition in my opinion.
At a touch to this site that nobody else has.

What about having a mini-movie next to a skill that shows the spell/skill effects?

I personally think it would be great to see the spells that maybe aren't used very often, or never.

There are some pretty amazing spell effects that go unnoticed due to their ineffectiveness.

As members we could contribute small movies showcasing spells/skils etc.

I realize it's most likely a huge undertaking.

When I get my new PC I'll be happy to help

The problem with doing something like this would be the bandwith costs. There's already an insane number of people that view this site, and if we start adding that much media to the things they'd be viewing.. it wouldn't take long before we're out on the street somewhere, living in boxes.

That makes sense. What about just an in game image of the spell effect?
Again, if it takes up too much bandwidth, that's completely understandable.

It would just be a nice feature to see what a spell looks like. A bit of eye-candy.

maybe if it was flash and all or something, but putting something like that together in the first place would take a lot of work. Any volunteers?

If they still offer the option to make PvP characters for testing, I'd be more than glad to get some vid caps of spells.
If they make it available I'll get on it.
