I started a new character in pre searing today.
Wandering about ALONE im experiancing.. lag
And 'The troubled tenent' or whatever that quest is called has gone from being bugged to being fixed and back to being bugged. omg.
When I first started playing you would take the honeycomb across the bridge to the green marker, and nothing would happen. Then it got fixed so that your quest would actually update. Now it doesnt update again.
I play every day, often for too many hours. I am beginning to get sick and tired of lag ruining what used to be a game and a server that ran perfectly. I play often enough that I dont NEED to level up from 16-18 today and finish tomorrow, it just happens through playing, so I play for fun only, but where is the fun in walking for 5 minutes then having the game freeze, rubber band, then stop and possibly crash like it has just done on me.
People are getting sick of tired of an unstable game that offers them jerky or frozen gameplay, ruined missions and PvP, and perhaps 30 minutes to an hour of totally wasted game time.
Ill just go play something else if the game is unplayable, simple.
WILL YOU PLEASE DO SOMETHING?
WTF is going on with GW?

In around 360 hours of total play time I have only lagged two to three times before; those only being about 3 seconds of lag. Perhaps you should update your graphics driver/video card.

My guess is you are using an Europeon server, they are having some problems recently.

U have to get 3 groups of bees over the bridge , 1 sometimes stays near the water.
And lag has been worse as b4 lately yeah

Im pushing 500 played hours and ive lagged more than 3 times, but it was more common in certain areas than others. For awhile there was a real issue with people timing out durring cut scenes at the end of missions and dropping out. I had a few rather angry people over TS when those instances occured, especially when talking about places like the dragons lair and sanctum cay.
I think the freezing and rubber banding annoys me the most, which commonly occurs in pvp and high density pve areas. It does get rather bad when you see ice imps or henchies ghosting after characters and your character chasing after something that is visually traveling in the opposite direction. Well that and henchies eating quest items, but you can always just kill off the henchies before opening the chest, killing the monster, ect. The bugged quest and mission bonuses are rather troubling as well, but there havent been many bugged quests ive come across lately.

My advice - submit a bug report. Take screenshots of the bugged quest and submit a report explaining exatly what the issue with the quest is and include the screenshots.
As for the lag, submit a bug report about it as well. Give them detailed specs about your computer & net connection. They will likely ass for pings and traceroutes and such.. but if people don't submit reports about the lag issues they will never have a chance of figuring out what the problem is and solving it.
So instead of whining here, have you done anything about it? You ask them to sort the problems out... but have you submitted any bug reports about these problems? If not, how do you expect them to look at a problem if you don't tell them about it through the OFFICIAL bug reporting system they have in place?

Aaaaagh
I thought the quest was goofy too, its just one of the groups of bees gets stuck down by the water. Pay attention to where all the bees are, and you will get the quest update when you get all 3 of them across the water.

Well I seem to be an exception as I haven't had a problem with their support side yet. and yes, I do happen to have a few support tickets with them. Some concerning bugged quest's I've come across, some about reporting rules violations and some concerning the lag.
When I have a problem, I just make a report or update a pre-existing report with the new info as needed. I've been happy about the responses I've gotten - a lot better than some support I've gotten from other companies.
and in the end it comes down to this - if people don't report about an issue, they won't know about it. Whining about it on these forums isn't going to alert them. Sure they read these forums, but aren't slaves to reading and this isn't an "official" bug reporting place. ANet have stated here to submit bug reports - in response to people complaining about the lag on European server's, they posted saying that people should submit bug reports about the lag.
so instead of whinging and whining and complaining and moaning. do something pro-active and do what they have said to do - submit a bug report.

I think there are definitely lag issues on the EU servers. Did Thunderhead today [something tells me theres alot of people there, repeating the mission over and over :P] and at some point our entire team started lagging. When you lag and you suddenly see 7 other players going "LAG!" right before you could type it, then you know it's not your own ISP/connection.

Look its not my PC thats the problem here. Before about 2 weeks ago I never had a single problem running Guild Wars, and it was probably the smoothest playing online game Id been playing. Now, even though card/drivers/background programmes/isp/net connection/whatever works fine on every other game I have played, and as far as I can see has not altered in any way shape or form, Guild Wars at times is a complete nightmare.
I currently have 4 characters at various stages of the game, and no matter which one I play in which location, I experiance the same problems. Its not constant, but once it starts playing up its a complete pain/makes the game unplayable, and can happen repeaedly for entire days like i saw once.
Now to my knowledge this problem is being experianced right across the European servers, it is NOT my rig or my isp, and it most definatly is coming from somewhere outside of my control. Now I have not filed a technical report because if it was a problem that was fixable I would damn well have fixed it. You think playing PC games for many years leaves the user a complete novice in graphical and or performance issues? Hardly, most Gamers that play regularly end up becoming pretty well versed in their own PC's workings.
There has not been one word from A.net, iv posted 3 topics about this which is bad, but so is ignoring your customers.
Either they do not know about this issue, or they keeping everyone in the dark about, both of which is totally unnaceptable.
Need I remind A.net about the recent huge content releases in MMO's such as Eve-Online, the upcoming release of various long awaited games such as B&W2, updated modifications to games such as Rome : TW, Elder Scrolls OBlivion and several other LONG awaited highly ambitious MMOs set to have a release some point between now and christmas, and im going to ask them if they really expect me not to get angry and frustrated over the handling not so much the details of ths problem, and play GW?
tbh though im only one guy, and what do I matter.
That attitude stinks.
