What are the benefits of a Purple or Gold Focus if they don't have any inherent mods like that one? I have a Purple Divine symbol that is energy +12 but no other mods. Whats the deal with these type items?

dunno, i'm thinking it's for casting though, while using earth magic.

BTW, i got a plat for the spatha good deal or no?
