The max player level is set to 20 to create and even playing field for all characters, whether they were created for PvP or PvE (role-playing). It's also designed to eliminate 1 aspect of grind in the game - there is no need to spend months and months grinding a character up into high level's just so you can have a chance of competing against anyone else - in GW you get to level 20 and then it's your skill and what skills/spells/etc you use/have which decide how good or bad you are... not a difference in character level's.
There are monsters with higher level to enable people who have hit level 20 to continue getting experience points so that they can keep on getting skill points to use to buy or capture skills they don't have and might want. Thus they can go pummel on the critters with high level.. get xp from them and eventually get a "level" from it which gives them a skill point.

2. When you are out with Henchma, why do henchma get cuts in the items you find and the gold?

Why do other players in a player group get drops as well? Maybe only the leader should get the drops! PffT!
no seriously, henchmen are considered by the game to be classed as computer controlled players and thus get their own drops and share of the gold. They are dealth with the exact same way as people in a group would be considered.
And as has been mentioned, it's also to stop abuse of farming for drops. If henchmen never got assigned any of the loot, people would always have max parties as it would make farming for items and gold rediculiously easy.

3. Why does it cost a shit load of money for upgades now? In Droknars Forge it cost $1,500 just for 1 peace of equipment!! Fur squears are selling at $4,000 something and Black Dyes are going for $11,000. My character dosnt have that kind of money.

1.5K gold per armor piece isn't really all that much. If you've been playign the game without being run anywhere or spending stupid amounts of gold on runes, weapon-upgrades, etc you should easily have the money and the craft items to make that armor. Thing is, as has been mentioned - there is armor elsewhere that costs 15K gold per piece plus you need 105 shards and 105 ecto's.. which will cost you anywhere from 1-2-3 million gold or something rediculious like that :P
you look at it, you want the best armor in the game right? It's not going to be cheap.. it is the best after all (talking about Droknar's 1.5K armor.. not FoW 15K

). And if you've been looking at the armor crafter's as you play the game, you'll notice their prices have gone up as well.. as the quality of the product they offer gets better, the price gets higher.
As for the Fur Squares - only an idiot buys them from the material trader. I'll give you a hint - there's a collector that will take Charr Hides and give you fur squares. You want fur squares? Time to go farm the charr... or pay a rediculiously high price for them...
And Black Dye? Why? Dye is not a needed thing unless you want to have black armor and look just like every other tom, dork and harry who has black dyed armor. It's not needed... and if you want to dye youre armor.. either go farm and hope it drops.. or pay up and bye it from the trader. but you don't NEED to... it's a LUXURY item
but anyone can get Droknars Armor if they have been playing the game all the way through with no rushing. Need money? Try mapping the area's out. I've just hit the jungle area.. with 13K in my bank purely by mapping all the area's that I could and killing everything I could. No farming, just basic playing through the game, doung quests and missions as I get to them.
