Protective spirit = don't need armor?

i was asking this cause I was going to get some equipment for monk when he goes farming. I got a set of armor for PvP and I don't want to put so many superior runes in it... so I was thinking i might just use the newbie armor (i kept it cause I thought it looked cool) and put superior rune in it and use it as my smiting gear. In that case I don't have to waste any more gold for another set of armor.

LOL obviously you don't know how to use this skill. protective spirit is the most over powered spell on the game by all counts for farming. protective will be the only way you stay alive while you farm. i can farm just about any area in the game. i just stay away from things that can remove enchantments. this spell is the only reason i can solo the UW.

its for farming not pvp
you cannot die with these very easy spells. spirit, breeze, and divine boon.
may i ask you a question can you solo UW. that's my stomping ground. it wouldn't be possible w/o that spell. only a monk can solo UW and fissure.
as i said before you just don't know how to use this spell.

absolutely it's for farming, and you still have no friggin clue what you are talking about.
Ollj was referring to the fact that people with a brain use another skill instead, one that is significantly better. But wait, you are the smart one, you can solo UW(OMG!!!111 lolz!!!11 j00 r 1337 d00dz!!!!)

degeneration, i believe.
i bet, prot bond and spirit stop ALL kind of damage, including holy, chaos and dark. except degen. you can only remove or counter degen, but not protect against it. (well spellbreaker, but thats prevention not protection)
