Ectos gone from the game?

anytime im in UW i never ever see Ectos drop anymore and now im seeing them gone from the dealers..what is the deal?

well in the UW case they rarely drop at all whuch is why they sometimes are priced at 17k each

I have gone to the UW only 2 times and in those 2 times my parties died very quickly but I still say 3 ectos drop. They seem to be dropping often... I mean the first guy my group killed dropped one... And on my other group I think we killed a total of maybe 6 guys before we all died and still 2 ectos dropped then. Sadly I have not be then one to get those .

I find the ectos only drop in full groups of 8, and in which case the party member least deserving always gets them.

I haven't seen one drop in a long time. I've gotten 41 Shards to 5 Ecto, and the number of trips to the UW far outweigh the FoW. Plus, one of those Ecto came from the FoW!

Frustrating.

where in FOW did the Ecto drop? and why arent any ectos at traders?

Ecto's don't drop in FoW, Obsidian Shards drop there.

they drop alot less than the figures you guys are posting.

i solo the UW and it still very rare for one to drop. i have found 1 in the past 2 days farming UW.

u guys did not read the updates did u. When a person zone into one area repeatedly the drops gets fewer and fewer. this was anets way to prevent farming.

i do smite runs in UW and i get an ecto maybe every other run.

Ectos certaintly do drop in the FOW. CHeck out the area where the banshees are, and you are sure to find a couple ecto's drop.

actually ecto's can drop anywhere. they are just more common in UW, i have got one in the kryta mission and one in black curtain before, both from weak monsters

I got one outside of UW too, and, not knowing how much it was worthat the time, I sold it to merch D:

That would still allow his first run to drop many ecto's, but that is not the case.

my friends and i do 3 man UW runs, we see about 3 ecto per run, but it just doesnt seem to be worth the frustration. especially for being the warrior in the group. i get blamed for everything... being a necro is so much better.

Personally i think they made the items more rare, so the prizes on stuff would get lowered (OMG 200k items! :S) - There is a reason why you cant trade more than 100k at the time! It was never attented.

Actually heres what it says in the strategy guide ( I've tested
most of these and they do work once in a while )
Now I've gotten Ectos from other kinds of monsters as well
so there is more ways then listed in this Quote.

really do any of the quest ( except the first one, since we need to
do it to open the doors ) we just go there for loot. ( kill all the
monsters we can possibly find. And we normaly all get 1 or 2 ecto

Well, I used expert salvage kit to 193 demonic remains and got only glittering dust. Must be ultra rare to get ecto from them or it is just BS?

Unless something has changed in the last 24 hours, I've seen ectos in the game.

I solo smite runs regularly now, and in a 3-4 hour period I had 4 ecto's drop. They came from the Aatxes, smite crawlers and...whatever those flying octopuses are >< (can't recall the name for the life of me).

17k for one though? I couldn't get more than 9k for mine. What districts are you guys trading them in? :P

Man sorry that happend, but thanks a shite-load for trying casue I was about to do the same thing and I dont think I would have been as pleasent if I had gotten the same results.
