Hours of Content?
BlaineTog
Anyone have any idea of how many hours you can spend, on average, doing quests in RP mode with any given Profession with just one character?

Hmm I'm not sure if anyone answered exactly how many hours, but I believe endless because of the promised expansions, but from expansions to expansions I don't know how long they last it all depends on what kind of content you are planning on playing though. If you're only in it for just the main story then I'm not sure how long it'll take to beat all 28 missions until the next expansion.

I just read in another thread, that level 20 takes about 20-30 hours, hope that helps.

No way in Beta i played for 25 hours, and i was no where near to getting all the missions.
tkn
In the last BWE I spent a whole day (10 - 12h, I'd say) in pre-searing Ascalon alone, doing quests.

It'll take you well over 100 hours to get through all missions, explorables and WaW content. I couldn't give you a more accurate time than that, but there's a lot to explore. Maybe you could get through the Missions in 20-30 hrs (remembering only about half the missions were available during BWEs), but only if you ignore most side quests, have a good group and just blitz everything.

Lol thats still a BIG maybe.

When running through the entire game, it took a group of experienced alpha players+a dev somewhere around 70 hours to get through the storyline missions alone(including the ones not unlocked for the BWEs), doing the secondary objectives on most of them, but not setting a foot in EA's or doing sidequests or anything. We did spend some of that time talking and giving feedback and such, but I'd say a less-experienced group would still take the same amount or more time getting through the missions. When you add in all the quests and such you can pick up in towns, outposts, EAs, and doing the WaW content, I'd estimate a good 120+ hours, and you still probably wouldn't have done everything in the game with that character, and that's not counting time spent finding groups, failing/retrying missions, trading, chatting with friends, PvPing, etc.

Maybe someone can help me out with this....I have seen this question in maybe 20 or 30 threads and the answers are alwys the same, some will say 30 hours and others will say 120 hours....so I am now wondering why it so important to "finish" the game or is there a prize for the first player to get his or her character to level 20? Do you get a free game or your $50 back if you are the first player to "finish"? I just wonder because I am a casual player and always will be and I raised 2 characters to level 13 and 14 and it took me all of the BWEs from January thru April with about 20 to 30 hours of active play per event. Am I doing this wrong? Did I miss the point of the game? Should I just be bull rushing through in order to be the first to get somewhere?
I mean I like prizes as much as the next person so if there is a list of prizes per accomlishment please link it here so maybe I can try and vie for one after release.

hopefully this will help clear up some of the time spread
20-30 to hit level 20 then the rest of the game
from GW
Guild Wars, in contrast, is based around your skill as a player. Our maximum level is twenty and you hit that very quickly, after about 20-30 hours of play. ,We call that 'The Point of Ascension'. Almost all of the content in the game and in the future Chapters is only available to Ascended characters, which means we don't have to worry about providing different levels of content. All the good stuff will be available to everyone. It's not our intent to force people onto the levelling up treadmill, so the level cap in Guild Wars is almost meaningless.

Hours played depense on alot, things like not using Faqs/Guides.
and finding all the right skills, items armors etc.. takes time too.
and offcourse when all the missions are over. you'll be playing GvG/GvE/PvP
