Always gives me wrong thoughts when I saw "Monk" and "solo" in the same sentence.

I started a Monk a couple of weeks ago...I'm up through Yaks bend and have solo'd the entire game so far, not using henchies. Monks can do the majority of this game without a party if you have the right build.

I reciently created a Monk / fire elementalist... Love playing him...
Soooo sick of failing missions because your in a party full of 'know-it-all's' who don't think. Haven't tried solo missions... but so far have used henchies for pretty much every mission without a problem.... Gotta get him infused tonight... LOL still downloading the original posters vid.... 77.6 meg.... geez hope I'll at least learn something from it.

I think it defeats the purpose of the game if there is one class that can solo most of it. The pve areas are ment to be co-op the special areas eve more so! I think they should definetly nerf the monk in some way.

Nerf the monk? Are you serious? Sorry, but the same people will find a new way of doing what they always do and the rest of us who play monks will be the ones screwed right up the go red engine. I always enjoy folks who complain about something because a different profession can do it while they can't. If you spent your time figuring out what you could do, and actually did it, you wouldn't need to worry about what the monk or the warrior or whoever is doing. Hell... you shouldn't be worried about it now.

EDIT: What's more, you could be a anything/anything and somewhere on this very forum is the key to your success. It's like a corn farmer in Nebraska saying they should ban fruit from Florida because they can grow grapefruits. It's just two different types of farmers. If corn's your thing, then more corn to you, but don't hate on the guy with the grapefruits.

I am not complaing about it because I can't do it I havent even tried to do it... I might try but its not my style nor what I believe the game was made for.. I think they should nerf any class that can solo the UW alone or maybe make it so that the UW is so difficult that it is impossible to Solo and it is already very difficult... the result of all this soloing is that arena has made the drops less rare in the UW which sucks for people who are really trying... its just my opinion

The byproduct of Monks who solo UW, has caused ANet to nerf the entire area. What happens is that everyone is affected at the expense of the solo monks who farm there. This is true for other areas too. I mean ok, you can keep the monk good, but don't make him invincible. Let people continue to farm, but don't make it so they don't even have a chance of dying. That's just lame imo. I know they certainly did not design the skills to do that.
