Found other area of Infusion...

Hey,

I was just wondering what's up with the second area of infusion I found. My bro and I were just running around and exploring new areas north of Granite Citadel. We ended up going way north and found a seer. Getting all excited because we found an NPC so far out we fought through all the monsters and one dropped the Spectral Essence. We took this to the seer and she/he/it told us that we had no other armor to infuse. Makes sense.

I am just curious if there is a reason that we don't know about for this second area to be infused, like that it is the place to get 15K armor infused or something. To me it would seem a little crazy to go all the way up there to get infused as it is quite a bit more challenging to get there than it is to run the Iron Mines to get infused.

Anyone got any ideas on that? Or is it just one of those things they threw in for the hell of it?

Could you possibly supply a screenshot of your achievement? I believe I know the area you're refering to because it pretty much connects to the mission where you get infused, but I want to doublecheck.

There are several infusion areas around the map if I remember correctly.

And if you go into mineral springs, it leads to the Inorth secition of the ron Mines of Moladune mission area, which is where the seer is located.

I've visited the seer in mineral springs and that sounds like where you are, it's north of the Granite Citidel. I'm pretty sure there is at least one other place. Just a guess, but the "old way" of getting infused only worked on one piece at a time they may have put in 3 or more different seers so you could have a little variety getting all your armor infused.

the update made it so that in the iron mines mission all your armor pieces get infused

ahhh, yeah it's up in mineral springs area. Where it almsot goes right into the Iron Mines mission.

The zip file has the bmp of the map where I found him/her/it.

I'm good with the explanation of it used to be one piece at a time so they put a couple others out there..but if someone has any other little areas like that, let me know. I love exploring.

Also, there's a statue up there of a different god(or one I hadn't noticed before) called Lyrssa or some such that you can use for your morale and other when favour is ours. I wish now that I had read what the statue said on it though.

There are statues of Lyssa all over the place, she's the Mesmer god. (or goddesses, as Lyssa is actually two sisters intertwined as one being, but thats getting too deep.)

heh k. I thought that might be the case. Just never kneeled at one when we had favour to see the little globe with a head in it before I guess.

Yeah I met the seer in Mineral Springs too and found it quite odd that the dev placed her there -- so much easier to get an armor infused doing the mission in Iron Mines of Moladune rather than going through Mineral Springs (at least for an E/R)
Then you get to meet her again in two other missions past Ember Light Camp. Well three actually but in the third mission she won't offer to infuse your armor anymore. Odd that she would still offer to infuse your armor - I mean is there a place I'm missing that I would find a better armor while doing the mission so I could have it infused immediately???

Originally, there were 5 different infusion missions, and it was assumed that each player would go to each of them for their armor, but people realized it was a heck of a lot easier and faster to just run Iron Mines over and over, and it made the game easier, because you were fully infused that much earlier, so they just patched the full infusion part in.
