Why cant I use faction for my PvP runes?

Ok so it's great that there's faction for PvP stuff. But what's the use of it if I have to make a whole new PvP character to use it? I like my current PvP char - it's dam near perfect for me but getting more runes or upgrades is useless when I cant use it on my current character. Why did they make it like this????

In the 5 minutes it took you to think out this post and create it, you could have deleted your old pvp character and created the exact same one with your new pvp runes.

I'm not sure why it's a big deal.

dude what? the basis for having faction was so you could grow your char in whichever direction you wanted - RPG or PvP. I customized my PvP char with dyes and other items which I bought with my RPG char. if an RPG char can be customized with runes why cant a PvP char be also? maybe they should make it so that every time an RPG char wants to add a rune the char must start over from pre-searing

That is totally incorrect. The purpose of faction is to provide an incentive for PvP players to PvP. It's the PvP equivalent of experience/farming and allows someone to unlock runes, items and skills soley through PvP. It was NOT meant for you to be able to create a PvP character and play him like a PvE character. I have no idea where you got that idea from.

If you are really inclined to you can just take the items you gave to your PvP character put them in storage, remake and pick the items back up. You'll only loose the dyes you purchased. Even then you have some options as to what colors you want to dye your armor in the PvP creation screen.

i didn't know that you can't upgrade your PvP character's armor with runes bought in PvE.

uhm, you can. You just can't salvage them out of the pvp armor.
