if you try to delete the character you joined a guild with, do you still have to quit the guild first?
also is there a plan to make an option to reset your character instead of delete them if the above is true?

Here is what happens when you delete the character that started the guild.
If you don't have officers installed then the first character you invited to the guild after the original will be moved up, if you do have officers then the first opfficer you made will be appointed Leader of the guild.
So if you want to delete the character just appoint someone else as the Leader and demote the original character then delete it.
Now each character needs to be invited into a guild so if you are talking about just deleting a character that is part of a Guild but you want to remain part of the guild then you should have another character added. In the BWEs your Guild membership was tied to your account but I believe that after release Guild membership will be character related so that you can have different characters in different Guilds.

I disagree. I believe your guild membership will remain tied to your account. I don't quite remember but I could swear I read it somewhere it was some sort of measure to prevent guild hopping, smurfing and stuff like that.
That said, if you have a brother, each one must buy a copy of the game (in order to have two accounts) if you want to be in different guilds.

I have 4 characters and yes they are all the leader of the guild. When I swich back and forth on my Guild page it says <new character> then under it it say also called ______ example:
Ren Falconhand
Also called BillY D
That way if you whisper to Ren you can also get Billy so you do not have to change the names in your friend's /Guild list
Hope
this answered your question
