Since henchies seem so lifeless, even if they perform their random emote, i got an idea. not important, but maybe funny:

there would be some rating of our pve performance. maybe enemy party/your party health loss ratio or number of kills per minute or something like that.

and according to those ratings, you could see henchies talk about you. something like, when you perform bad, alesia starts to whisper: "boy, did you see THAT poor pull?"

or like stephan "now THATs what you call aggro managment?pfff"

and when you perform good, an occasional "Impressive" or something

and there could be real rare emotes you only get under extreme circumstances.

At first I thought, why, but then it dawned on me how funny it could be. Suddenly Alesia runs up to Thom (or his brother Thorn, who I have never seen in game but read alot about) and jumps on his back and they run in cirlces piggy backing.

Though entertaining, I would hope they would fix the real problems before investing time in something like this.

sure. as i said, not important, but could be funny.

it would make henchs WAY more intresting and fun to play with... it would be nice to have a conversation with them.. im tired of that orange text telling me to go back to town and invite real people... idea = great

It would only make me want to murder henchmen more than I already do. "Hey Alesia! Continue to tank those Avicara... I'm going to wait back here where it's safe".

/signed I always wanted the henchies to do stuff to keep me entertained during the times I don't want to do stuff (missions, and a few skill quest)

Yes! It would be most excellent addition to Guild Wars.
Definitely would spice up the game.

My first mission with human players was "The Wilds".
Before that, I always used henchies.

Heh, sounds fun.

I have to correct you on this one. Alesia DOES tank a lot of mobs .. but the avicara are a special breed. Especially the ones north of bergen hot springs.

If they see alesia in a 100 mile radius they will ALL jump on her. It's not a monk thing because they ignore me trying to get to her.

"Alesia has left the game"

edit: and anet... please dont make them say the most dreaded letters in all of guild wars... WTS... i would die inside if the started trying to sell stuff they pick up
