I've seen a few posts that talk about where on a person damage is taken. I am wondering how we know damage is taken in different areas of the body? Is the answer simply because we can buy armor for different areas of the body and there must be a reason for that?

I'm just curious. Thanks.

Because people tested. To repeat this yourself: Get a friend and have him equip a full suit of armor. Hit him, preferrably with Wild Blow because it does a consistent amount of damage, and have him report the damage he takes as a baseline. Then have him remove one piece of armor and hit him a hundred times. The number of hits that deal damage above the baseline is the percentage chance of a hit on the body part without armor.

Where do you go w/ a friend that would allow you to run this test undistrubed by other PvP players??

Pick a friend from a different guild and do unranked GvG with just you and him on your respective teams.
