Does this spell remove a random hex or the last hex placed? (I'd assume last but I'm not sure)
PiPatel
it removes the last spell placed on the target
Vorkronor
IMO all dispells work in a "Last In First Out" fashion.
Cymboric Treewalker
I have tried this ... and it removed ALL hexes.

Uhm... no it doesn't remove all hexes. That is just nonsense. Maybe it was a coincidence your other hexes just timed out or there was some other person smiting hexes maybe?
But i can assure you, it just removes the last one. Else all those fragility - phantom pain - shatter delusion combos which are getting common by now would simply put not work. But they do, and they do extremely good.

Just a comment: I think that if the last hex is which is removed, then it does not seem efficient to use Shatter Delusions after Phantom Pain... which is a long time hex with a direct effect. I think, Shatter Delusions may combine with Mind Brack: when you see that Mind Brack may not get triggered; and to remove a 5 energy hex -as Mind Brack is- is not too costly on energy.
what do you think?
what do you think?

i think i saw that someone used shatter delusions on me, and i saw 3 times that dmg, so i consider it removes them all, if that is true, 6 hexes + Shatter + rez signet, cast all 6 hexes shatter them, and helllllo nice dmg
OK, I DID NOT SAY THAT, stupid noob i was :P (prolly was Fragility etc)

-It's Mind Wrack, not Mind Brack... and Phantom Pain is the ideal hex to Shatter because it only lasts 10 seconds regadless of points and it produces a Deep Wound (average -100 max health) when removed. It may be cheaper to remove a 5E hex, but SD recharges too slow for that to be a significant strategy in general use.
- Shatter Delusions only removes one Mesmer hex (no Necro ones BTW). It always removes the last hex applied at that. But it is ONLY one.

Shatter Delusions has a 10-second recharge, so you can't just Shatter hexes at will you know. Besides, most hexes have a purpose other than being SD martyrs so removing them randomly might not be the wisest use of the skill.

If you run a Dom/Spike mes like myself, this is a good skill to bring. I normally have Empathy in my Dom build, bc it's usefull for all kinds of mobs even casters. Well here's my point. Empathy is a good spell to shatter, because all you do is cast empathy, when it's recharged, shatter it. Then re-apply empathy. Once SD is recharged, shatter again, re-cast Empathy. Etc. SD makes a great knock-out punch for empathy when mobs are low and start spamming their self heals. At 15 Dom, Empathy does 30 dmg, and Shatter Delusions does 75. It's nice. Very nice 75 dmg hit for only 5 energy.
