This is a picture a friend of mine did. It is an interpretation of the green knight from that story of sir galahad and the green knight. It was done as a school assignment, anyhow on to why this relates to armor customization.
See, if there would be one thing I would like it would be for my warrior to truck around with this style of armor, or at least with this color scheme. See, it bugs me that when you dye something you only dye one layer of it. I wish I could take the dye to any individual part I wanted. Anyhow, take a look...
A pic of why I would like more armor customization in Guild Wars

This is a brilliant idea.... I for one would very much like more parts of ones armor/robe dyed with the color you want... I think this should theoretically be easy to implement in the game.
On another note, I don't know if anyone notices, but if you look at your inventory and your armor icons inside, the whole armor inside the icon (or most parts on it) are colored, but when you look at the actual armor in the game, only parts of it are colored (this might differ depending on armor)... I've colored my Ranger's fur-lined armor black and only a few parts of it are dyed black. When I look in my inventory and check out my armor icons they are beautifully colored dark grey/black which looks waaaay better than its actual color in-game (brownish/dull black). If we can't get the ability to customize our armor looks more, then at least make the dyed armor in-game the same as what it looks like in the inventory... ^.^
