Now this build is far from perfect, but i found it quite fun to use when things get a bit heated in PvE. and the attributes could be way off, since i'm doing this from memory.

Warrior/Monk
Axe Mastery - 12
Strength - 9
Smiting Prayers - 10
Tactics - 4

Skills
-Executioner's strike
-Symbol of Wrath
-Axe Twist
-Dismember
-Cyclone Axe
-"Watch Yourself!"
-Zealot's Fire
-*Insert res spell here*

Gear
Gladiator's armor
max damage axe (+15% damage whie enchanted, enchantments ast 20% longer)

i find this build is somewhat minor crowd control/constant area damage. It mostly relies on cyclone axe and "watch yourself!" to add on damage.

Confused? Lemme explain a bit. This thread first gave me the idea of using zealot's fire. Since it is activated not only on spells that target other allys, but from shouts as well (and also other skills check the thread i mentioned, should have more skills there) I decided to try a cheap adrenal shout, in this case "watch yourself". although when i was charging adrenal for it, i noticed cyclone axe sets it off as well.

basically this is what happens. firstly cast zealot's fire and then begin doing a warrior's job, tanking . with 3 guys around you, 1 hit + cyclone axe charges "watch yourself". pretty much just alternate between those two skills. this allows for some very minor area spike damage (more like a bump since its not extremely high damage).

dismember/axe twist are there for a bit more damage and to take the "omph" outta hard hitting mobs, and executioner's strike for a lovely boost to damage .

if things get really heated with a big group, throw on symbol of wrath, and start up the spam. On a large group (4+ mobs) i can get off a "watch yourself" before cyclone axe, and then immediately afterwards again.

This is not a "build to end all builds" but i had fun seeing so many numbers fly up over my warrior's head . Also i havent put in an elite since i havent really gone on cap runs, but suggestions on which elite to get is appreciated

now lets see what you all have to say :3

EDIT
fixed a lil typo, meant symbol of wrath not holy wrath -.-

If your warriors purpose is AOE damage than why not be a E/Me ? and Nuke? .. But if you are going to do that then along with holy wraith i'd take along retribution because if your using holy wraith your not going to have any energy anyways so no point in the extra regen arrow ...

i never did say nuke did i?

oops, made a lil mistake, meant symbol of wrath, not holy wrath >_>

as for its purpose, i want to be more then just a mere tank. guess you could call this a poor man's low energy AoE, its by no means meant to solo with, just help out the rest of the team, adding a bit of damage here, bit of damage there (although symbol of wrath hurts ). So while the ele's are casting their meteor shower, i slowly take out bits of health from the group, before they truely get nuked.

although it proves quite useful against casters, with one cycle of cyclone axe and watch yourself, i end up doing about 100 damage per target caster near me.

Zealot's fire is great for warrior's, definitely. Lots of fun.

Only warriors can really use most of the up-close-and-personal nuker skills, whether monk or elementalist (especially all of the close range fire spells, inferno, etc.)

Well, the problem I see is you've gone out of your way to make yourself totally vulnerable to ad/en denial. images / visages alone is going to make you unhappy and any kind of snare will effectively take you out of the fight; you have no run speedboost loaded when your entire build requires you to be in melee range. You also have no way to stop a runner; I mean Twist is a nice skill against a fellow W, but requiring yourself to be in melee range to be effective... don't you tink Rake would serve you better? And not a single interrupt.

I'm thinking it's one of those types of builds that led to Ws being ignored in battle in the first place... i.e. devastating against charging newbies but ignored by veterans.

"watch yourself!" activates zealot's fire, which in turn does damage

the adrenal req for using "watch yourself" is 4

even with only 2 people around you, you can pull off cyclone and "WY"

2 hits + cyclone = 4 adrenal

Might I suggest Battle Rage as your elite? Every two attacks and you reapply Battle Rage triggering your Zealot's Fire.

When I used a similar build in PvP, I used condition and hex removers. No one seemed to care about removing my Zealot's Fire. It worked good because even though I was spending the time removing my conditions, I was still able to deal damage in the process.

I would use Flurry/Frenzy since it would allow you to use Watch Yourself more often if you aren't using Battle Rage.

i'd say frenzy is a nono in this. if i'm tanking some mobs the last thing i want is to take double damage

as for flurry, it is plausible to use it here, but i prefer to do my full damage

i havent put thought into an elite for this yet, but i suppose battle rage is a start for it :>

EDIT
from reading the description for battlerage, it would work in theory, but "watch yourself" isnt an attack skill, so it pretty much ends right after. hmm

cyclone -> WY and BR charged -> WY -> BR -> cyclone -> WY
come to think of it, it might just work, gonna cap it and try it out tommorrow
