Starting over with this chr....need info

right now I am a PvE level 12 m/e trying to solo and its slow going. I guess its the Ele skills that don't seem to help much with the henchmen.
I spend all my time chasing down the warrior and healing/protecting him.
The ranger is not much on damage so I just forget about her. Firestorm, its not much use because the mobs are VERY spread out in most encounters.
and smiting doesn't seem like much of an option for the same reason.

Maybe I am doing everything wrong but I see the only way to solo is to take a mage and a healer also. Two thing about this first they are dupes of what I am supposed to be and with all 4 I am sure that drops will be almost 0 for me.

Should I keep going or start over with a m/w?

Too bad I can't play my necro with this at the same time

Gotta tell ya right now that healer monks are not the best class for soloing. if you are looking for a class to solo first off i'd go E/Mo (for energy storage) and specialize in smite and protection...however the smite skills are not exactly the best until later in the game...so party up and be pacient
