An odd idea, Death Knight from Warcraft?

W/N using Death Magic. Probably one of the most inefficient forms of class usage but let's see what we get shall we?

10+1 str
10+2 axe mastery
11 death magic

Dismember
Axe Rake
Executioner's Strike
Disrupting Chop
Sprint
Virulence {E}
Necrotic Traversal
Plague Touch

Half the skill bar uses 5e. skills so energy management shouldn't be an issue. Since this is a very heavy conditions build, working alongside a Fragility user or Victory is Mine! {E} warrior type can help big time.

This is definitely a scary build because the moment a teammate dies, you should immediately tele in, poison and virulence your adversary. With Exe strike and Dismember/Ax Rake, that foe should go down fast. Take heed though, both your entire team and the enemy will be in for a wild ride in terms of condition problems...

^_^

Your thoughts? Is there another method for a Death Knight to exist?

Well, to more accurately depict the wc3 DK, you could have

Animate Bone Minions (aprx = Rod of Necromancy)
Blood of the Master (Death Coil?)

Keep in mind that these will totally suck, but are more like an actual DK.

On a more serious note, I really like the NT + virulence combo. Too bad an ally has to die for it to work =(. Im thinking that something like malign intervention would be nice?

Well taking the skills from the death knight himself:

Death Coil: heal undead ally for 600 hit points, or half damage to living foe.
Unholy aura: increased hit point regen and movement speed
Dark pact: target undead ally dies and you gain 350% of their hit points
Animate Dead: raise 6 dead units who are invunerable, for 45 seconds.

(thats off the top of my head so details might be hazy)

so.......

Necro/Warrior (warriors dont look dead enough )

Death: 12+4
Swordsmanship: 9
Soul Reaping: 9+1

Death Coil: Vile Touch
Blood of the Master
Unholy Aura: Veratas Sacrifice
Dark Pact: Taste Of Death
Animate Dead: Animate Bone Minions
Animate Bone Horror
Misc: Tainted Flesh [E] (undead units like the abomination had disease upgrade
Frenzy (Because Hes mad :S..... had to have something warrior in there)

I would take putrid over necrotic IMO. Virulence does poison also (its just not listed), so necrotic is only for aoe poison, which a ranger can do much better than a person using necrotic. Putrid would do alot of damage if your monk is standing right next to the dead body and they try to take him/her down. Use putrid and attack the one with the lowest health and putrid him again.

Good point. Sadly, that's very mana intensive. Trying to come up with a viable Death Knight style warrior is very hard. I was thinking of using Victory is Mine! with Rotting Flesh and various axe condition skills but I decided to just settle on Virulence just because it's that much better and more efficient than Rotting Flesh by far.

New build, more energy friendly. [if enemy runs, use a wand and let them laugh, execute Rush and make them pay...]

this is for 4v4 random and the like, not nearly that good in 8v8 unless you replace the Healing Sig for Thrill of Victory or what not.

Swift Chop
Dismember
Axe Rake
Disrupting Chop
Healing Sig
Rush
Virulence {E}
Plague Touch

I've discovered that this build will literally devour anyone wise enough to use a blocking stance thanks to Swift Chop. Another note, if you're afraid of Disease self infection, by all means, just run to another enemy, plague touch them, then run back to your original target. Apparently, there's a limit to how many times you can get infected and that's VERY helpful in this case.

Before you start laughing at Healing Sig. Think about this, instead of getting spiked / hard dmged, how often do warrior's get nailed by DoTs that ignore armor? Healing Sig gives you a bit of breathing room and I was giving it far too little credit until just recently. Where I found myself hovering at 30 hp spamming healing sig while enemies were dying from disease... whew

But yeah, if you're the last one standing, then it's pretty much a futile attempt.

Perhaps replacing it with Soul Feast? But it's very expensive though the hp recieved is high.

A VERY deadly counter to this build is just plain enchant heavy build. Without Curses, this build is quite nullified and has to switch targets accordingly. Thankfully, the axe conditions stay on a target long enough to recycle Virulence {E} and keep the pain output going. VERY good for High armor types... [warrior killer *cough*] but also effective vs. low armor as well.

Then we should make a lich and use C+N 4TW (for the win) and be called a noobdead.

Aura of the Lich {E} actually doesn't sound too bad on a Warrior. Problem, nobody's shooting at you ... usually...

I think he meant make a Lich hero from WC3. The guy who shoots that ice nova spell and devours minions for energy . Man I loved that guy.

I decided to look into this build and came up with the following, but I'm looking for some input on improving it. This is a reaction to the NR spam that's out there and the desire to make another problem for monks to heal.

N/W
1) Strip Enchantment/Distracting Blow
2) Chilibans
3) Plague Sending
4) Rotting Flesh
5) Sever Artery
6) Victory Is Mine
7) Disciplined Stance/Wary Stance

Idea being to go in and take out any enchantments they may have on them, transfer poison to them, hit em with disease, bleeding and then reap the benefits to keep myself fairly unkillable. Rinse and repeat.

Though about swap out Rotting Flesh and VIM for Gash (or I will survive?) and Virulence.... but not sure which will result in more annoyance for them and survivability for me.

Victory is Mine! works well but the problem is that plague sending is too costly.

Costly in terms of energy? I would think Victory is mine would recoup that...

Looks good to me. But one question. Rush is a speed thing correct? And axe rake causes crippling, right? If so, why have them both?

And I didn't like having 2 skill slots for it; one for HS, the other for watch yourself.
