Are any of these ideas going to see fruition
BeowulfKamdas
let's be honest, will any of these ideas see the light of day? Like i haven't been playing online games of this scale so I wouldn't know, but is there even a chance in hell that NCsoft comes in here and picks a couple of good suggestions and incorporates them into the game?

Pets got infused.

in the interviews they talked about getting good ideas from forums and listed some.

This is probably one of the forums the devs look at most.
They are pretty responsive to suggestions

There's a reason 99.9% (estimate) of suggestions are almost entirely ignored-
They're repeats, poorly thought out, or already addressed by a public statement, such as in the Fansite Friday articles (or lost amidst the above topics).
When most people can't be bothered to use the search function, type correctly, or put a little thought beforehand into their own ideas, how can anyone even dare to complain about ANET's handling of them?
For the remaining .1%, they're considered carefully and implemented after testing, or they're not.
Dropped players being replaced by hench, infused pets, unlockables through PvP, more celestial sigils won in the hall of heroes, easier capturing with SoC's, 100% rune salvage, and many more were suggestions made by players prior to incorporation to the game.
Some ideas are change significantly because they found potential for abuse-
The dropped players being replaced by henchmen, for example, was addressed in a fansite friday prior to the release of the game, and took until June 8th to be implemented, in a form to remove potential for abuse while addressing the concerns of players. Instead of auto-replacing, or selecting from a pool, they're given randomly after completing a round if someone in the team has dropped. The party is still penalized for losing a player, unfortunately, but not as badly as if they'd not gotten a replacement at all.
Edit- I speak of course in my own opinion, but I have worked as a moderator for an official suggestions forum on another MMORPG, and I'd assume that many of my own experiences would also hold true for Anet.
On their forums, we probably had 30+ new topics a day, of which 28 or so were repeats.
Sometimes there'd be 3-4 of the exact same suggestion on the front page alone...

Agreed, Nizzim. Gaile routinely mentions that she looks over the Sanitarium threads. If two heads are better than one, imagine how much better 25,000 heads are!

The devs are extremely responsive to suggestions, why a good part of many updates in the past have come from these forums right here. Hell a few weeks ago I started that "petition to quit nerfing the hell out of us" and now it's got 18 pages, most all of the replies are for it, and Gaile herself even posted in it telling us that they've nothing against honest farmers, and to be patient for future updates to see if they've improved the situation by going after botters in other ways. That made me mighty happy to know that a suggestion is being looked at, well, even though it's the biggest nerf thread we've had and it's hard NOT to look at it, but still.
They look over most all of them, and the good ones, usually get implemented. Puts a smile on me face when I see such response from the devs in a game like this.

Well that answers my question. Thanks for the lack of flames
