An easier way I found is to just bring balthazaar's aura, symbol of wrath, zealot's fire, and a healing spell. He, of course, can use the same spells as you, but not with the same efficiency. If you don't know what to do with these skills, walk up next to him and use zealot's fire then balthazaar's aura followed by symbol of wrath. Then spam your healing spell until he dies.

The Doppleganger doesn't like the spells Healing Breeze and Retribution therefore, he will never use it. Which will be your advantage. As well as having a high smiting skill set. My monk beat him in 4 moves flat. Good luck! ^^

Just throw on some smiting skills like someone already mentioned, and this was also in another thread:

Skills: Zealot's Fire, Balthazar's Aura, Symbol of Wrath, Bane Signet, Banish, Healing Breeze.

Cast Zealot's Fire, run up to your Dopple, cast, Aura, Wrath, Bane Signet, Banish spam Healing Breeze for Zealot's effect.

You'll be done in 20 seconds or less, depending on your smiting level you may not need Banish or having to spam Healing Breeze.

Wow, that's quite a bit of HP damage just from the xxx per second moves alone. At 16 smiting:

Aura = 26 per second for 10 seconds = 260 damage
Symbol of Wrath = 33 per second for 5 seconds = 165 damage
Zealots Fire = 48 damage per cast.

The first five casts alone will nail him for 192 damage from Zealot's.

In the first 10 seconds of combat you've done 617 damage from 'incidentals', and 157 more damage from Banish and the Signet, for a grand total of 774 damage.

Of course, he's also swinging this stuff at you, minus the benefit of Healing Breeze (and the fact that he may not cast Zealot's Fire first), which is your edge.

A win with 1 hp is still a win. As a matter of fact, a win with zero hp is still a win too, as evidenced by my fight with the Mirror and the damage delay in Deathly Swarm

Wow, that's leet.
I did it under 20 seconds, now, 15k armor for the win!

Thanks

By the way, I did it with 9 smiting prayers, and 7 healing prayers, at lvl 15.

Well, I think I might be the only one not to have changed any attribute points around. I never thought it necessary, since obviously the thing has 16 points in marksmanship whether or not I am a ranger.

Gaara, I took Pacifism in also, hoping it would cast it on ME - long long casting time, plus I could still hit it with spells but no melee. I didn't even think of casting it on the doppel! Interesting idea.
