Ok so I finally make it to Droknar and get a mixed set of armor 60. I have Aeromancer vest, Hydromancer leggings, Pyromancer boots and Geomancer gloves. Now I would like to actually get complete sets but that costs money. Now I have hard earned 25k in my bank right now and finally got to Granite Citadel (sp) where you can buy Pyromancer and Hydromancer 15k armor. My question is this.
Should I bother with the 15k armor or should I get my complete sets at Droknar so I can have best protection in areas I'm in... say helping people against charr and have full set of Pyromancer on (as an example) or should I keep my mixed set of existing armor and spend money on a 15k armor of the same mixed set?
I can't make up my mind on what to do... I know a full hydromancer set would really help me out in those shiverpeak areas... 15k or 1.5k... cause its all armor 60 still. And since I don't know what lies ahead... I don't want to spend all my money on a 15k complete set to find out maybe I should have gone for a different one with extra protection against another element.
Anyway, suggestions please.

for 15k... go for looks... for function go for 1.5k
it sound like you haven't read how the armor work, maybe read it up in the guide section of guildwar guru... well, actually mainly your chest and torso part of the armor matter most of the time... especially talking about spells.

Speaking from a PVP standpoint, your current set up is pretty much almost what you need. Aero robes are pretty much given. Also, Geo boots and leggings would probably be better, since a lot of the more popular earth spells are focused around your legs (earthquake, aftershock). I'd maybe go Pyro gloves or Aero gloves... probably Aero. Hydromancers are pretty rare in PVP, so you don't really need Hydro clothing...

Technically any DD spells, they automatically hit your chest, from Lightning Strike to Aftershock. Projectile spells such as Flare and Lightning Orb however hit any spot though.

Well see I wanna go for a little bit of both. I want to have functional for when I am doing missions and exploring. Yet I want to have looks when say for example, helping people do missions earlier in the game where one cast of immulate kills the target... where having the best armor does not completely matter. Well as it is, I can't buy any Geomancer or Aeromancer 15k armor because thats not crafted at Granite Citadel.
If I may ask, where is that crafted?

Most likely Marhan's Grotto. Southeast of Droknar's.
