i havent played much of gw and only tried the last beta event, but this is what i saw after pre-searing area.
i partied with a friend and when i got a mission, i would be the only one who would see it and not my teammate(class specific i guess). i did hear about group missions, but my question is, is that the final format of the quests or is it just beta and will it be changed, because it's kinda weird where only 1 person can see the quest and get the exp reward from completing that mission. (i mean its good that things are individualized, but i mind as well do it alone when im strong enuff and not waste the other person's time).
so. (1)if your not the same class type, quests will always be individualized?
and
(2)you can only share/attain group=the same rewards in missions, never in quests? (unless again. your the same class type)

just questions about mission/quests formats

You can group with anyone of any class to goto any instanced area, whether it be a mission or an explorable area.
Something much have happened between the time your friend joing your group and when you left for the mission that caused him yo be kicked from the group.

again to clear it up. Ive noticed that quests are individualized and my friend is not able to see the green arrow in which to go to for a quest after i accepted a quest from an npc, since he isnt the same primary/class specific. i am assuming it's only "missions" that all diff class type group members see the mission and rewards. which means that players are forced to party with class specific teammates if you needed help with a "quest", not missions.
from what ive read and seen i assume this is the format they want and will keep. and just wanted someone to clarify if it will be changed or altered in full release, because it would be a waste of player's time to party up for quests(not group missions) if they are different class types or path for pve (example of my friend who is a diff class and would be better off not grouping with me in pve since he cant see my class specific quests and vice versa).

simple question
can you name a specific quest and were the quests that gave problems related to obtaining a profession skill?
ie here are some skills do this quest?

nope no problems at all concerning quest or completion of one.
it was just that i was a war/mes and my friend was a necro/ranger (we were partied) and i accepted a quest from the warrior npc at ascalon city (after academy) and my friend could not see the quest.( it doesnt appear on his screen)
which then makes it pointless for him to come along with me, because i was strong enuff to solo it, plus i would be the only one getting the exp reward after completion.
i didnt want to waste his time...I was asking will this be changed cuz if i needed help then it would only be worthwhile for players with the same class type as me and those who still needed to complete the same quest.

I think I get it!
OK..My Necro gets the "find the students in the catacombs" request from Munne but it isn't available to the Warrior or Ranger I am teamed with....so if they want to do it out of the goodness of their hearts they just have to follow along and back me up while I get all the Exp. points...right? Then I would have to go along on a Warrior's or Ranger's quest...provided my team mates are willing to work it out this way. That is going to be tricky. I guess you have to find amicable team mates who aren't hell bent on just dashing through their own quests.

Ok Mission is long task that invloves doing few objectives and is started by going to an Mission area on the map (Big long Shield) and having the team Leader press the enter Mission Button. There are no Portals in the mission area so once you enter a mission there is no leaving with out leaving the party.
In the Beta there were 14 Missions they were
1.Great Northern Wall
2.Fort Ranik
3.Ruins of Surmia
4.Nolani Academy
5.Borliss Pass
6.The Frost Gate
7.Gates of Kyrta
8.D'Alesio Seaboard
9. Divinity Coast
10.The Wilds
11.Bloodstone Fen
12. Auroa Glade
13. Riverside
14. Sanctum Cay
A Quest is usually A short task given to you by a NPC It usually involves Doing Something in an Exploreable Area.
Now that we gotten that out of the way sounds like you got an warrior Quest
Sounds like Warmaster Grast to me I think he gives you a quest to kill some Gargoyles for 200 XP. The reason that quest is there is because Grast is a Secondary Profession Trainer if you forgot to get a secondary profression pre-searing you would talk to him to get it. Any warrior or Chrachter without a secondary profession could of gotten that quest. After that I think he might give you some other quests for Warrior skills.
Your friend couldnt get it but he could of went south to the sanitarium and gotten a few Necromancer quests from Munne and Kasaha Blackblood
those quests in the Old Ascalon Area are pretty easy but once you get to yaks bend the class specific quest are a little tough so you will probabaly need to find someone generous that doesnt need the quest to help you.
also really some of those quest are so easy to do you can do it solo in 3 minutes or complete it while Accomplishing some other quests.
I think the first time I did that quest I finished it while doing the Recruit for Holis Quest
