Starting Dreadnought's Drift party
Maxiemonster
I've been trying to clear out Dreadnought's Drift with Henchmen for a while now, and it's simply impossible with Henchmen, they're not good enough. So I was thinking about starting a nice party to clear it out I'm pretty sure noone ever cleared it out completly, so we would probably be the first ones to clear it out. If you're intrested, drop your game name, your timezone, and the time you're playing on
Sekkira
Actually, I cleared it out a while back with my N/Me and henchies. Bloody hard though.
PieXags
It's pretty simple once you get past the first group of summit herders, those guys are a real bitch, because unless they happen to be spread out right, you get like 10 of them surrounding all your henchmen, your henchmen keep getting knocked down and can't kill all of them, and you're sitting there yelling "Run around them damnit!" But they don't, and they die. That's the hardest part for me at least, everything else not so bad.
Divinitys Creature
Cleared DD with henchies with my level 6 or 7 ranger at 60 DP. The tundra giant mobs and griffons all ganging up on me made it personal
Maxiemonster
I don't think there are any Griffons in Dreadnought's Drift, and even if they were they wouldn't be any trouble, just like the Tundra Giants But still, I'm a lvl 20 Monk, and I know what I'm doing and I tried it twice, and it just didn't work out. Tried to clear it with 60DP, but it's still impossible..
powdahound
A level 6 or 7 ranger with 60% dp + henchies would not be able to clear it. You must be thinking of another place.

But is there anyone who did clear it? Maybe with a full party of experienced players? Sine Henchmen aren't that much worse as the most players, it will probably be really hard with a full party.
powdahound
I'm sure a nice balanced team could clear it out without too much trouble. Probably wouldn't be much fun for a group of warriors & monks though. Mixed profession teams are always more effective... and more fun.
Sekkira
The problem is, I've never found anyone that actually want to explore those places. It's all "Rush rush rush, gotta run everywhere, no time for anything, the world is gonna end!". That attitude annoys me, mainly because this game is based around teamwork, yet most of the community isn't willing to do so, which detracts from MY playing experience.
You don't NEED to rush to anywhere, ascend any time soon, finish the game, etc. Hell, I got the game and started playing as soon as the servers went up April 28th. I haven't even gotten past the mission "Ring of fire" Tried once with henchies, died and continued playing with other chars to just enjoy the game.

I also prefer to fight my way everywhere. Also get more loot and rare drops that way. It's more fun to just play the game than get rushed everywhere only to go outside alone and farm once you get there.

I always fight, then my Moa Bird will lvl up ! And the items and experience (skill points) can also be very nice. And also, rushing to Dreadnought's Drift is nearly impossible without DP for a non-runner.
I'm exploring every single part of the map at them moment (done with everything except Southern Shiverpeaks). I'm planning on making a map for public just for help for other people, so they wont get stuck. Most people use Moonabis map, but it's not fully explored, so I want to make an even better one Maybe it's sounds strange, but Guild Wars gets boring if you dont visit different places and just stay in one area (like a PvP area) if you ask me.

I'd be interested in doing a Dreadnought's Drift clearout (I've gone up Snake Dance but that's as far as I got with henchies)...I'll check my diary as to when would be good

The green circle is where the res pad was. The red circles were tundra giants and Griffons. I used my poor pet - Stinky to die away from the res pad and then ressed it so it would draw aggro, so we could pick them off one by one. I spent a lot of time doing it so I remember it very well. Credit goes to Moomanibe because that pic is a part of one of his maps.
Did it during my adventure from Droknar's to Beacons Perch. Maybe you didn't notice these mobs because they might have spawned in that little grove and the portal is right there. Would easily be missed by a runner.

Anyways Good Luck with your journey
Louis
I would be interested in a DD party
IGN: Mara Soulbringer N/Me 20

I almost clean it with henchies once, I eventually got bored of trying to kill the mounted healers (since there are 4 of then on the same group) and just moved north.

The first group of Stone Summits is a group of about 30 Stone Summits.. I'm sure you can't do that with a lvl 9 Ranger and some Henchmen..
And at the moment I can't play Guild Wars. The computer I play Guild Wars on is the old computer of my brother, but he needed it for a while.. So I can't play for 2 days. But I think I'll try it again with Henchmen, and if I fail again, I'll just do something else

aphex twin
pretty easy to do, i cleared out half of it when i was capping the frost wurm there with my necro. i just used mark of pain and spiteful spirit on groups and they died easily with henches.
Martina
I'd also be interested in a DD party..
IGN: Martina Magi - lvl 20 Elmo (fire nuker)

I've made a trip from Camp Rancor to Beacon's Perch with henchmen just for the sake of exploration. Then made a trip from Camp Rancor to Dreadnaughts Drift with henchmen to capture that necromancer elite. The second trip was slightly easier since the Stone Summit were more spaced out. However, getting the attention of those 12 giants when going for that chest caused a problem. Think we managed to kill one before being wiped out. =P
I've got Snake Dance, Dreadnaught's Drift and Lornar Pass completely mapped out. If you decide you would like to try it with some real players, I'd be able to give you a hand.
IGN: Lenneth Arbalest - R/whatever works best with my build

Maxiemonster

Still, nobody is better than me at scouting out every last tiny piece of cloud in all the little corners, I guarantee it.

I just finished clearing it. Didn't die once going up snake dance (although a few henchies did), but inside Dred's was a different story. It would definitely be possible to clear it without dying using a real people who can pull, but the henchmen don't enjoy doing that too much.
Here are some screens of course.
Also killed Maw the Mountain Heart (the huge wurm) and many other bosses along the way. The chests in Dred's looked really exciting but I didn't get anything good out of them. Actually, I didn't get a good drop the entire trip.
Was fun nonetheless. Wouldn't mind doing it again sometime so I can get the elite cap from Maw.

- Killing the last guy
- All done!
- This part really sucked... But I was able to res the fighters and we did win.
- Cool statue I found at the south end of Lornar's after I finished Dred's. There's also a nice one in Dred's as well.

The statue didn't offer me anything like that when I was at it... Not even while kneeling. Oh and I know it's Grenth, it says so right on it.

Sign me up! I need to capture Feast of Corruption to complete my build. I tried it today with henchies. Snake Dance was incredibly easy, but rather tedious. Once I got to DD, however, I had a huge lag spike, and before I knew it, I died with a huge group of 30+ Stone Summit soliders right next to the Rez shrine! I almost cried.
Anyway, I'm a N/Me, IGN Tarodeus Tilrin.
Can we set up an official date/time for this, so no one misses out?

I just realized that I missed one piece of cloud in the Ascalon Arena because I never went there with my warrior at level 10 or lower. I don't think I'll ever be able to get in there with that character now. So much for having a completely filled out map.
