Our support staff have passed on to me today that they have been receiving reports of players being contacted via email or other means by persons claiming to be ArenaNet or NCsoft staff and asking for account passwords.

I'd like to remind everyone that we will never ask you for your password. Ever. If someone asks, they are not a member of our staff and they are trying to scam you.

Do NOT give your password to anyone.

Thanks Alex ... although you probably have sweated over it, Anet cannot be liable in a world full of spam ... but always good to give this a bump to those that may have received emails like that (as there seems to be an abnormally large amount of 11-14 year olds playing this game)
