There is a chance to salvage it out, but it is not guaranteed.

also, if you put any upgrade into a collector's item, dont expect to salvage it since collector items cant be salvaged

I know I have salvaged every rune I ever used on my armor back out when I got my newer armor. I've had a minor rune of absorbtion since post-searing Ascalon and I still have it on my plate mail armor, hehe.

You won't always get your rune back from your armor when you salvage it. I just recently lost a minor vigor this way.

Please get your facts straight. This is the 3rd time I've posted this in 2 days. As of the June 1st update, collector armor can be salvaged, thus runes can be recovered from it. I have not tried collector weapons so I can't say whether or not the june 1st update hit them as well.

You still can't salvage them when they don't have runes. With runes, I dunno.
