I've only played in 1 BWE (the last)...
My question is this.. Can you play the game without ever doing any PVP (PVG)...
If I wanted to make a char that would just PVE can I do this... after I hit Lvl 20.. are there still things to do? or are you forced to do PVG after awhile?
Ok This Might Be A Dumb Question

this covers it and i am totally a PVE myself
there are 25 missions (non pvp) to start
there are 60-70 explorable areas (non pvp, not small) to start with additional content to be added by streaming in
fron GW
Guild Wars, in contrast, is based around your skill as a player. Our maximum level is twenty and you hit that very quickly, after about 20-30 hours of play. ,We call that 'The Point of Ascension'. Almost all of the content in the game and in the future Chapters is only available to Ascended characters, which means we don't have to worry about providing different levels of content. All the good stuff will be available to everyone. It's not our intent to force people onto the levelling up treadmill, so the level cap in Guild Wars is almost meaningless.

Hehe, Loviatar has used this response so many times ... kinda tells you something.

You are, yes forced to do PVP once. After that its optianal. And if you are ofended by PVP then all you have to do is sit through the PVP match, even if you lose you proceed. But remember its better to help your team.

Awsome! Thanks!! I've never been into PVP much in any games.. I might check it out, but I have more fun with PVE.. I really like the fact you group and it's just your group and the mobs... nice touch...

You will probably find PvP in Guild Wars more enjoyable than in any other game you've played anyway. It's worth a try at least.

I absolutely abhor FPS etc., always have. More of an RPG and RTS fan. But I must say I like GW PvP. It's sth different than UT or them. And it looks cool.

Also don't forget that their are a lot of cool items to get that are "l33t" status type items. Like cool glowy bows and stuff, and uh... a flaming sword. So those are types of things that people can look forward to get in order to strut your stuff in pvps and towns and the likes.
edit
and cooler looking armor than the pvp ones

I like the whole idea of a skill cap. But I would like to have more attribute points. I play Necro and it takes alot of attribute points to make spells effective. Especially in PVP. And why can't I have weapons that do 30 hit points like rangers and Warriors?
