Not noobish :P I believe if you pre-ordered or got the collector's edition (both which came with bonus items), it'll list what you can use.
Avantos
My guess (unofficial and unfounded) is that it will also be used to implement the expansions.

I'd say the first box is for expansions, etc. and the second is for items and goodies (hmm, wonder if there will be pre-order / collectors edtion items for Chapter 2...)

ah.. thanks

I bought guild wars (regular version) a while ago and have enjoyed playing it. I bought the collectors edition recently, mainly 'cos (a) I wanted more character slots and (b) cos the book and cd are really nice.
I haven't installed from the collectors edtion CDs, just created a new account with the registration number on the back of the new CDs, so that I have two accounts.
How do I get the divine aura feature unlocked (It implies that it came with the collectors edition)
Thanks

ok - Thanks.
I don't recall seeing it mentioned in the additional features box, but I'll check later.

Too bad that you can't upgrade your retail account to collector's edition the way that you would have total 8 character slots in one account. I would buy collector version if they would change it.
Maybe Collector Expansions would offer Divine Aura and more character slots for single original retail accounts.

You can get more character slots somehow with Collector's Edition?

Divine aura is the glowing hands, right? What is 'chimeric prism'?
pfb
Chimeric Prism was the European (International?) pre-order item:
imo the best pre-order item (for a warrior at least )
Quote:
Chimeric Prism Energy 5 Armor 5 (req 8+ Divine Favor) Energy 10 (req 8+ Divine Favor) Energy 12 (req 8+ Energy Storage) Energy 12 (req 8+ Soul Reaping) Energy 12 (req 8+ Fast Casting) Armor 16 (req 8+ Strength) Armor 10 (req 8+ Expertise) |
GW Insomniac
Is it possible to buy these 'extras' without having to buy the Collector's Edition too?
pfb
don't think so as they were pre-order items (nothing to do with the Collector's Edition - that's the Divine Aura)...
GW Insomniac
That's a pity.
Anet could turn a tidy profit if they made pre-order and collectors bonuses available to buy seperately.
Maybe in the future eh?...

The Divine Aura is not posible to buy with out buying the collectors edition, The other pre-order items can be gotten by buying the little preorder box from any retailer or on ebay.

Canthan Targe: Best Buy preorder
armor 14 [10 tactics]
hp + 30 [8 str]
energy +2 [8 axe]
energy +2 [8 sword]
I'd gladly take 14 armor, +30 hp, +2 energy, over 16 armor. That +2 sounds like crap but if you're trying to cast 3 spells totalling 25 energy, it works.

But then, that's what GW is about - using the skills and objects how you best think (and not having a 'perfect' weapon/build/shield/etc.)
Either way - going off-topic now
