Questions about crystalline swords

Is there a "best" place to farm for them? Is there any particular monster that drops them or what? I know that griffons drop fiery dragon swords a bunch but is it the same principle or is it 100% random? thanks in advance.

I'd like to know this myself, so someone please help us out.

so far iver gotten 2 of them, one was 14-20 and the other was 13-19, both had +19% enchantmnets on them. however, i cannot rememebr where i got the first, and the second was from the HoH

ive heard the desert was the best place to get them, but the only one i have actually seen drop was from the chest in the first FoW quest.

I've never gotten one myself, but i was in the grotto yesterday and some guy popped in from the enterance and said something like "WOOT!!! I just got a gold crystaline sword from a chest!!". I'm assuming he is talking about the chest right outside the grotto...

Ok people on gamefaq must just suck then lol. they said the Only place to get them was from fissure....i spent all my free farming time yesterday in fissure lol.

i whas thinking that you can get it in the southern shiverpeaks ice floe around there thats where my first dropped

The only one I got was from the Fissure of Woe. The chest in the tower after the first quest dropped a purple max one for me. It was quite a shock considering every other time I had gotten that chest it had been a purple salvage item.

There is a farming place at Grotto.U just run with couple of random henchies to chest located very near and u do that over and over again.It's nice place 4 farming but probability of good weapon is not very big and 1/3 times chest is empty but try that.

I found two, a gold and a purple in the desert running the wreckages..

ive found mine in hall of heroes

If you are prepared to fail a few times due to the (rather large) Ice Imp army the devs plonked in your way then you dont need henchies. The place has already been sorted for bots as the chest spawns in at least 3 different places, so not a lot else the devs can to to that area. Oh yeah Ice Imps which all have the Elite Skill Freeze Mind - classy...

Well, I got one in the desert at one point but I didn't know that they were so valuable at the time and sold it to the merchant.

i got mine from a guy in Lions arch.

max damage pretty pretty good mods.
Just gotta be at the right place at the right time.

lol, i'll be scouting LA and AC more often (esp in higher # districts where noobs sell stuff they dont know the price about )
