Ne/Me Build (Recommend me some Skill sets)

My current build is a Ne/Me, I just hit level 20 last night. At the moment I am not doing much PvP but I am doing a lot of the quests/missions etc. But I am finding it hard to spend all my energy points, let me explain:

I currently have all my points poured into Blood Magic (13) Death Magic (11) and Soul Reaping (8) : I don't use any of my mesmer skills, but would be willing to reallocate my points. I use the following skills:

Vampiric Gaze, Vampiric Touch, Deathly Swarm, Putrid Explosion, Well of Blood, Well of Suffering, Animate Bone Horror and Blood of the Master.

Vampiric Gaze/Touch are my main attack - Deathly swarm is good, but take too long to cast, putrid explosion relies on dead bodies, as do well of suffering and animate bone horrors, and blood of the master.

At the end of using vampiric gaze/touch I usually find I have no spells that will cause any actual damage, I have the energy there but nothing to do with it. There must be some better combo I could use? And yes I am willing to re allocate my points back into mesmer if neccesary. Anyone have any advice?

Im not going to suggest a build, just some insight in my PvE experiences with my char. Conclusion : Do not understimate Curses.

I play a Me/Ne and had a similr problem with "damage output". Of course i have fast casting which means i can spam deathly swarm easily. I poured everything into Fast Casting + Death Magic, and going with the same stuff you mentioned except for the blood magic line [i.e. instead used things like rotting flesh = disease + necrotic = poison which are all death magic].

It worked ok up till the desert, then i started to suffer a bit with the setup. Mainly because of all the 'conditions', at any given moment at least 2+ spells do not work on an enemy [i.e. no corpse or immune to disease/poison]

Then i just changed to Domination magic [backfire/empathy] + Curses [50% attack slow + 25% chance to miss + weakness + Mark of Pain/Barbs etc] . Now obviously i never do direct damage, but i was surprised how things were dropping dead around my warriors [without them taking any damage].

All i can say i grossly understimated curses on my char, weakness almost -halves- the damage from foes [physical] , increasing your AC by 40 almost -halves- damage taken [depending on damtype, now imagine reducing someone's AC.... Reducing attack speed by 50% on an adrenaline junkie seems to be quite devastating......[just need to figure out if it stacks, as there is 2 speed-reduction curses].

Mark of Pain + Barbs + 2 warriors and large mob = things going down amazingly faster.

....i usually don't take empathy with this setup, just backfire+interupts for casters [as lowering someone's attack speed + empathy do not go well togethr :P]

PS: This is mostly in PvE, in PvP itll prolly work the same.
