I only got to lvl 13 and didnt go further than yaks bend in the last BWE, basicly i was wondering if there were any puzzel traps in the game ? for instance >
(very simple)
party walks in to a room.. both entrances slam shut & water starts to fill the room, there's 3 levers and the party has to work out which ones need to be up and which need to be down (combination changes on map reload) before they drown in the water..
I think this would be a nice feature, i know theres probably lots of problems that come with it, such as if you only have henchies in your party, but it would add a bit more thinking to PvE rather than just hack, slash, nuke, heal combat tactics..
I suppose this could also be implemented to PvP , 2 teams, make there way through the above style traps to get to a center area, 1st team to get there gains combat advantage... or even just a race to see who gets to something first...
its just an idea...
Ingame puzzel traps and traps ?

Im guessing you read my post about the undead world, I agree with you completly, the game needs more puzzles.

yeah but with out the death underworld part... generally these kind of traps have been in rpg style games from the begining of time, just wondering if GW has these implemented..

I love the idea of seeing some puzzle-oriented stuff, but I think there are a lot of people who would be irritated by it. At the moment, Guild Wars' gameplay is almost entirely action-oriented. Many people (yes, PvE'ers too) are buying Guild Wars with the expectation that quests involve action-oriented strategy and combat. Throwing puzzles into the mix, while it'd be great fun for many people (myself included), wouldn't really be fair to those who aren't looking for something like that if they had to do it, in order to advance the story.
That said, I'd love to see some optional side-quests that included puzzle elements, particularly in the first expansion, since that one's supposed to focus on dungeons. Even though the puzzles would quickly be figured out and the solutions posted on the web for all to read, it'd still be a nice change of pace.

There are missions in which you need to do a bit more than just kill people, usually without time pressure but there are a few somewhat similar to what you describe: one where you have to unlock three mechanisms while a mounting stream of opponents swarms over you for instance. Since you're told exactly what to do this isn't a very mentally tasking challenge, but the pressure is there, and not keeping your wits about you could end up costing you the mission.

Me thinks puzzles would be good as a guild activity at the guild hall, maybe with two sets of 4 guild members or something like that.
It's not really a competitive necessity and it could be like a "puzzle juke box" so to speak. Something they could add to with each expansion that way too.
