Favourite: The eternal grove, I liked the part when all the afflicted came after cutscene. It was fun defending the grove from the afflicted rushing through on both gates. Killing luxon turtles was pretty fun also.

Least Favourite:
All the Ring of fire ones, Realm of torment and Maguuma Jungle ones.

Easiest: Chakbek village

Hardest: Jennur's Horde... evil mission. Took me about 3-5 hours worth of attempts to hero/hench and understand the mechanics of this mission during the first weekend nightfall came out. Tried PuG's also, but I got further with hero/henches... I managed to barely beat by partying with heroes and some random ranger I met and his heroes. Harbringer of nightfall + spawning margonite mob = bad, ranger ran away after everyone else died, and picked up a light of seborhin and finished off the last harbringer cuz it followed him. After I beat the nightfall on that character, I always chose Nundu bay and never again tryed this mission.

Most Favorite: Jennur's Horde. Did it with henchies and heroes and got masters. Nothing like watching groups fall down fast to 3 R/P's barrage and go for the eyes. The Wild's 2nd to this since me and an awesome PUG got masters on that with just the 3 of us. Raisu Palace's fun as well.
Eternal grove was fun as well. I want more siege missions. Vizuna square was helluva too...damn, too many favorites >.>

Least Favorite: Any Desert Mission. "u want some minotaur horns with that?"

Easiest: Tihark Orchard

Hardest: probably THK when i first tried it. now it isn't too bad. That mission with Kunnavang can be a bitch sometimes.

Favorite: From Prophecies, Iron Mines of Moladune, liked the variety of the enemies you face while doing it. From Nightfall, Pogahn Passage - something about sneaking around inside the place and then fighting your way out of it appeals to me. From factions: Boreas Seabed - can't say why. Overall Favorite: Iron Mines.

Least Favorite: From Prophecies, The Frost Gate, can we get this over with sometime today? From Nightfall - Dzagonur Bastion, only because is was so hard to get into a PUG capable of getting masters. From factions: vizunah square - What were they thinking!!!! Over all least favortite: Vizunah square

Easiest: From Prophecies, Great Northern Wall. From Nightfall - Tihark Orchard. From factions: Minister Cho's estate. Overall - Tihark Orchard (Also gets nod for "Most Fun" Running around doing the stuff for the bonus was a kick! And a nice change of pace from your ordinary Mission.)

Hardest: From Prophecies, Abaddon's Mouth - not easy getting through gates with henchies. From Nightfall - Grand Court of Sebelkah - I haven't figured out the trick to it yet. From factions, Raisu Pavillion - just wanted to get it over with by the time I got there. Overall - Raisu Pavillion.

Prophecies:

Most Favorite:
Thunderhead Keep. Catapults, blasting the Mursaat that have destroyed you up until this point, waves of enemies, and, with the new flag system, henchies that stay by the king and keep him all nice and healed.

Least Favorite:
Dragon's Lair. I hate any mission where the "environmental" effects only work against the PC's, but the monsters ignore them. It's shoddy design and implementation, period.

Hardest:
None really. THK gave me some trouble with my first character, as did Aurora Glade.

Easiest:
Doppleganger. Beating him was interesting once, but now any character can take him out in seconds.

Factions:

Most favorite:
Tahnakkai Temple. Something about the feel of it, racing to save the heros of old, tearing through groups and using every bit of tactics you have to avoid overaggroing while still going fast. It's a nice balance, and one I love.

Least Favorite:
Arborstone: see Dragon's Lair.

Hardest:
Imperial Sanctum. They couldn't make Shiro fight smart, so they just gave him a bunch of overpowered skills that are light-years beyond what any sane player would consider balanced. GG Anet, you proved you could break your own game system to create a monster. Great.

Easiest:
Gyala Hatchery, since they never DID get around to fixing the "easy" way to complete it.

Nightfall:
Favorite:
Ventaa Cemetary. I like sneaking around, taking out the guard posts, leading the refugees out, this mission is just a lot of fun to play, even if it IS a bit on the easy side.

Least Favorite:
Gates of Madness. Oh, please, not this again? Shiro once again pulling out skills that are just obscenely overpowered. Can we ban this loser for exploiting or hacking or something? It wasn't exciting doing the same mission for 12 hours trying to get through it, and it wasn't a rush when I finally beat it. It was just "finally, that's over. I never want to see him again."

Hardest:
I gave up on DoA, and that's not even the mission, just the explorables to GET there. See my note on environmental effects and monster-only skills that break every rule of game balance out there. The game isn't as fun when one side gets to make up their own rules.

Easiest:
Tihark Orchard. Is it possible to fail this mission? Even the bonus was easy.

Favourite: Vizunah Square - No doubt. This mission is just total and utter carnage and an insane ammount of fun. Yes, it was annoying when you got morons on the other side who let Togo/Mhenlo die, but when you have a half-decent team it's just great.

Least Favourite: The Wilds, or Bloodstone Fen for that matter. I generally just hate the Maguuma Jungle and these missions are just long and boring.

Hardest: Gate of Madness - Oddly enough I did complete it first time, but even so, it's rock hard.

Easiest: Err... Great Northern Wall or Minister Cho's Estate? But of the "Level 20" missions, I'd say that Poghan Passage was pretty easy.

favorite: THK. I love the snow setting, the "defend a big fort" setting, and the communication needed.
Hmm, I love unwaking waters too. Just love the atmosphere there.

Least favorite: Ruins of Surmia. God I hate that mission. it's long, can''t be runned (stupid rurik), and all the devourers pop out of the ground.

Hardest: Grand court of sebelkeh. I just skipped it and did Melonni's mission.

Easiest: Thirark Orchard. very fun tho

Most Favorite: A tie between old THK (when it was god RED ENGINE GORED ENGINE GORED ENGINE GORED ENGINE GO hard) and Consulate Docks (just seems so warlike that it's cool)

Least Favorite:Minister Cho's Estate (Just seemed way too boring...killing sick guys then killing an evil politician, seemed too much like Monty Python)

Hardest:Gate of Madness (DEFINATELY, Shiro is a PWN NUT)

Easiest:Thitark Orchard (Really, all you do is talk to peeps)

Thunderheaad keep, this was realy fun to do

Least Favorite:
Fort ranik, I know it's a low lvl area but it take so long and it's not even hard
for the low lvl's.

Hardest:
Elona reach, that was not realy hard but to find agood group that would not panic from a time counter was realy hard.

Easiest:
Sanctum Cay

I think i have to think about what mission i did realy like/don't like from the other 2 chapters.

Favorite I'd say thunderhead keep > because the bonus monsters pwn everything if you don't aggro them :P
Least favorite : anything in the jungle; it just takes to long >_>
Hardest : I never loved raisu palace (masters reward) I hate missions when there is a time limit...
Easiest : Gates of kryta -> holy damage ftw

Favorite : Consulate Docks, lot of action going on, you have to make the assault on a great fortress, and there are many foes.

Least Favorite : Nahpui Quarter, you have to hurry because you need to finish it in less than 25 or 40 minutes for master reward (depends of which mode you take) and celestial autorez in 2 minutes, lots of non-fleshy creatures.

----------------------

Hardest : Gate of Madness in hard mode was a good challenge, even if LB help a lot, many strong demons and two end game boss at the same time.

Easiest : Tihark Orchard, solo mission, only a few foes to kill (and they are distracted by npc guards so almost no risk for you), also the emote battle is fun

Most fun: Tihark Orchard. finally, bonus things worth doing.
Annoying: Vizunah Square
Hard: Dzagonur Bastion

Least Favorite: Factions missions from Vizunah to Tahnnakai Temple, then they get better.
Those missions are the reason it took me so long to bother with factions. Groups are Terribad.

I like the area.

Least Favourite - Anything involving the Shining Blade, Stone Summit, Ascalonians, Deldrimor, etc. Retarded dialogue FTL.

Hardest - Eternal Grove.
Just read the mission walkthrough :S one of the hardest to do H/H since ArenaNet won't let me use 7 heroes.

Easiest - Chahbek Village.
Well, yeah XD

Favorite: A ty between Raisu Palace (even in HM it's easy, but just tearing through those hords and hords of enemies is great ) and Dzagonur Bastion, requiring good team work, coordination and decent build.

Least favorite: Anything having to do with jungle in prophesies, all the city missions in factions (tahnnakai is an exeption)

Hardest: Dzagonur Bastion HM, any mission involving keeping npc's alive in HM Tyria, especially once the enemies start attacking them as soon as you hit compass range.

Easiest: Tihard orchard, Raisu Palace

Btw, thread necromancy ftw?

This thing got ressed..... Anyways might as well contribute.

Favorite - Eternal Grove, I just like the defend the fortress type missions. Also Dzagonur Bastion is a close 2nd

Least Favorite - Any of the jungle missions.

Easiest - I'd have to say Chahbek ( No one said you can't say noob missions)

Hardest - easy mode is Gate of Madness hm is probably Eternal Grove.

Now this sort of thread is fine to resurrect, I'd say - it brings it to the attention of a whole new audience and never goes out of date (much). Notice how the OP NEVER got updated - we should dig him up and force him to update 3 years worth of opinion

Favourite - THK. My original character, a warrior, was stuck there for 3 months. Totally gave up and wandered around Sorrow's Furnace. Once I got into a good guild and was shown how a real team operates, it became different. A year later and I H/H'd it for the first time because I needed the bonus. My god, how easy it was!

Least Favourite: Probably Moddock crevice. I just hate those damned runners. Dzagonur Bastion is a pain in the proverbials too.

Easiest: Hum, a weak category really. Anything in the newbie areas. Should be "easiest mission that should be hard," in which case we're back to THK

Hardest: Eek, can't think of a stand-out one. Does Vloxen Excavations HM count?

Unloved Prophecies: Dunes of Despair
Unloved Factions: Gyala Hatchery tied with The Eternal Grove
Unloved Nightfall: Gate of Madness tied with Dzagonur Bastion

Hardest Prophecies: None of them... okay, maybe Abaddon's Mouth.
Hardest Factions: The Eternal Grove (mostly annoying)
Hardest Nightfall: Tahnnakai Temple (the time for Masters)

All of which I speak involve both mission and bonus/getting Masters.
All of which I speak involve Normal Mode, not Hard Mode.

Good topic here

All in NM

Favorite: Hard to say but atm I'm going with Against the Charr some ppl seem to have trouble with it, but for me it was very enjoyable.... after the first time I went back and redid it just for the fun of it.

Least Favorite: Probably Bloodstone Fen, although overall the Prophecies Missions are inferior to the other campaigns imo. Not had, but time consuming.

Easiest: In comparison to the avg. lvl at the time of the mission, I'd probably say Ruins of Morah - Varesh dropped like a rock the first time (well under masters time req).... I was abit disappointed to be honest.

Hardest: Without a doubt Gate of Madness, Undead Shiro is a @#$&! only mission I haven't been able to H/H for the first completion.

Favorite: Nahpui Quarter. Really not that hard once you get the hang of it. Although it was one that I found frustratingly impossible when I was a newbie.

Least Favorite: Hmmm, Aurora Glade I think. Long cakewalk to the end before you find out if your team is any good or not.

Hardest: As far as just completing them goes...none. For getting masters, this will vary from player to player as everyone has different things that are difficult for them. I'd have to say Ruins of Morah. (Well unless I can nominate A Time for Heroes HM. I have not been able to beat it yet and I refuse to get a run. I'd rather finish it on my own than rely on a runner)

Easiest: Chabek Village - Come on guys, is there any contest here????? A brand new newbie that just installed the game an hour ago should be able to finish this one just by letting Koss and the Sunspears do all the killing.

Edit: Ok, just read the post above mine. Elder! Please! Give me some tips! I'm begging ya!

Dzagonur Bastion is a nightmare in HM. Nothing else really compares.

For people stuck on it, we did it with 3 Mystic Sandstorm heroes (Mirage Cloak, Mystic Sandstorm, Pious Renewal, Staggering Force, Dustcloak, Heart of Holy Flame, Armor of Sancitity, Rez : +5 nrg melee weapon, +12 offhand, all windwalker runes with minor earth headgear and minor mysticism, crank mysticism and earth to max.), 2 Ursans, 2 healboons, and Masters as an N/Rt Healer (Icy Veins, Life, Mend Body, Spirit Light, Weapon of Warding, Protective was Kaolai, Flesh; crans Soul Reaping and Restoration).

There is a certain order to it in HM.

STEP ONE:
At the start flag all the orders groups to the east, when they are in formation at the east catapult flag you Master of Whispers spirit healer behind them to ensure they don't die and hold east the entire time.

STEP TWO:
5 waves of enemies come, 2 center, 1 west, then 2 center at the same time. At the last group leave one alive archer and immediately flag everyone over to the west warrior boss spawn point. Then pull the leftover archer and kill him, spawning the warrior boss out of the portal. When the boss spawns you have about 15 seconds to kill him before a kournan group spawns out of the portal and overruns your party, which is nice when you have him surrounded by 3 mystic sandstorm heroes, I killed him in about 8 seconds.

STEP THREE:
Immediately after wiping the boss mover to center and save the bombardment. Then wipeout all the kournans coming out towards center and rush the monk boss directly ahead of you. When he drops, rush the paragon boss and kill him then return to save center again.

STEP FOUR:
Once center is clear hit the east side and clear the kournans, then send one solo tank ahead of the party with prots on to eat the 700 dmg invoke spike from the ele boss. Rush the ele boss and gg, Masters with no fortifications lost.

Just did all of these in HM, so this'll be biased towards that. Also, only covers Tyria. Some NF and Factions missions are bound to be harder in HM than any of the Tyrian missions.

Favorite: Elona Reach - Challenging without being stupidly impossible in HM

Least Favorite: Divinity Coast, with honourable mentions to The Ruins of Surmia, Nolani Academy and Frost Gate. Big, long maps bore me, a lot. All the ones I've forgotten can consider themselves included as well.

Hardest: Hell's Precipice - The only mission which actually required the use of consumables in HM in all of Prophecies (using H/H).

Easiest: Augury Rock. Seriously, gimmick builds just own the doppelganger.

Its funny that people think that Hell's is so hard. Just bring a PD or powerblock mesmer to hit the imps and it's cake. Just as long as you avoid the 6 spark mob that patrols midway to the path that leads to the seer its easysauce.

This thread seems fun.

Favorites (in that order): Gate of Madness, Vizunah Square and probably also Abaddon's Gate (I love watching the monk boss failing with daze on it).

Least Favorites: Ruins of Surmia (so damn long), Hell's Precipice (doing it 15 times+ with one char ain't fun) and Grand Court of Sebelkeh.

Hardest: Eternal Grove (I really need someone else here), Divinity Coast (saving people hard anyone?) and maybe Ring of Fire alternate route (so many interrupts).

Easiest ones: Killing Shiro the first time, killing Shiro the second time, and most non-hard. Although those enter maybe in "Boring".

Oh, I had Gwen, and I was BHA. It's just the only mission which really required a targeted build, and was a bit difficult even then. Ok, so Master's Leeroying straight into the sparks near the Seer (while flagged WAY back) and thereby managing to pull the whole Boss group as well, wasn't according to plan. One sacrificial H/H party later, I rezzed and consumes were used to counter DP. I used all my honeycombs chasing sweettooth, before I started chasing Guardian. Doh!
