Fast casting should reduce cooldowns too

That would pump it up to a respectable level.

A lot of people seem to dislike both Mesmer and Necromancer primary attributes. I have already seen a large increase in Elementalist primaries. I predict more unless they do some changing.

Right. Use Mantra of Recovery. No need to break the game balance.

Doing that would just unbalance the game. Though I do think Fast cast could use a very slight boost per a level to make it more noticable.
I think most people play classes they can just feel like they're fighting with.
I tend to see very few pure support characters such as Healers, Protection Monks, and most other defensive builds.
People just like to fight I suppose, but the few people who do choose to play as a support character are usually easily accepted into parties and are an asset to the team.

My point is not that most people play to do damage, but a lot of players are choosing Elementalist primary for the energy storage attribute. These same players are using their secondary profession for their main focus of these builds with whatever Elementalist skills add to the overall flavor. I am mixed about this, but especially in the Mesmer field this seems to be a good idea with only one skill linked to Fast Casting and energy the overall limiting factor.

I like the idea, but then again, it would require some serious rebalancing, mostly because, unlike Mantra of Recovery, Fast Casting can affect elites. Energy Drain every ten seconds or an IW that can be maintained nonstop doesn't sound friendly.
