I'm kinda bored also so I just chat around here, since I have done nearly everything the game has to offer. But PvP is getting harder well in HoH, because stupid groups that only allow elementalists and monks, warriors are getting put down all the time .

Just started playing GW relatively recently, and so haven't had the privilege of experiencing the earlier more mature player environment, that Ryoushi mentions. But I can say that due to my experiences so far, I mostly only play with a full party of henchmen, or with at most one or two other human players who I found to be ok.

We (my wife and I) have had many distasteful experiences with human parties, where one or two egoists insisted on running ahead from enemy group to enemy group, without giving any chance for picking up drops, healing, or gaining energy again. What happened to teamwork?

Our most recent dreadful experience came last night. Some seemingly poor guy was "LFG"-ing and so we took him into our party of two, to find out he already had a party of four. Ok, so we went on one of those quests which take you back and forth between towns a few times through a few portals. At least one or two of the group raced through the map, forcing us to leave our creature drops behind and not even get a glance at what was going on. Then on the way back the fastest of them raced back, picking up ALL of the drops for himself (which now no longer were reserved for anyone).

Needless to say, at the start of part 2 of this quest, we told the group that this wasn't our style of play and were leaving (weren't going to waste another minute of our precious playing time doing this!). Our only satisfaction was knowing that they had to go all the way back to town again to get more recruits.

Fortunately we have had some good experiences, and have played in some good parties. But it seems for the most part that are at least one or two "racers" all the time. We recently started to lag behind a bit, not caring how many times these idiots died. But one tactic that we have been using which seems to help a lot: we now include at least 2 henchmen in our parties of 6. This improves communication between the fewer humans in the group, and increases the chances of having a group that works together.

yea, im a bit dissapointed.
I was hoping that it would be more like a mmorpg than just a single player story online.Thats just a bitsi different than a real singleplayer game.
True, once you get a nice guild theres a realy nice kick you get of going gvg and getting a high rank, or tombs. But I think that its going to be all of the same after a while.
BUT still im waiting for the update and thinkin well if we had 2 or 3 expansions ( like over 2 years ) this game can have all the content that I hoped it would have when it came out

Yeah, TunderheadKeep seems to be one of the few missions that require a lot of teamwork.
Although I've been reading posts about people doing it with henchmen only, so that too, seems to be possible.

Lemming syndrom. You get that on almost any mission/quest.
Someone walks into the wrong direction, and everybody follows.
I've been walking into the wrong directions too, and people followed.
Somtimes very funny.

But one way to get a team in THK would be to start one of your own.
It's a long-term process, because if you pick random players, chances are, that you will fail at first try.
After that, the quitters usually drop out, and leave you with a few non-quitters.
Than you fill up the remaining 'slots' with new players and start again.
Eventually, after a long time, you have 8 ppl of non-quitters, and that's when you'll complete THK.

Creature of Legend - thats just a stupid thing to say. I got to school, skate on the weekends, do all my homework (which is a lot), play sum basketball, read a book, and spend hours eating, but still have plenty of time for other stuff (ie playing games). You aren't perfect, so stop acting like it.

(btw i've played for 130 hours over 3 months)

Heretic, HOW Dare YOU ASK SOMEONE TO TAKE OFF FROM GUILDWARS!!!! okay, on to the serious portion. I always adhere to the notion that too much of a good thing makes it bad. I love coffee...in probably every way that a man should and should not love coffee (pictures available on request). But, when i drank a Box of Joe From Donkin Doughnuts...suffice it to say I was having nightmares and my heart would not rest for hours. Then after that I really could not drink coffee for a while. now enough with the analogy and back to the topic at hand. People need to vary their habits every now and again to keep interest. When they add new content i think alot of people will come back, play it beat it leave and wait for more. Without a monthly fee or a preceived need to buy it or else, people can come and go as they will. Personally I love exploring, and I have seen 95% of the world...not much on pvp, but i figure that there is always a better sword waiting to be dropped, and i should be there to pick it up ....there is fissure armour that needs to be bought....hell ill craft the materials for the other armour myself...

synopsis: Take some time off....go outside....cheat on GW with another game (it only makes her a little jealous ) come back when there is new content or an update and i bet it will feel new again.
