The Monk Rune Prices O_O
00039
I heard about superior monk runes now costing around 10k each so I decided to check out the prices of them myself and low and behold around 10k each. I definately know it's because of this "Invicible Monk" craze going around causing the inflation.

I noticed the same, it's a pitty only the Monk runes are getting more expensive, since they are so cheap, even a lvl 1 noob just got to Post-Searing can buy all the runes he wants..

heh... i saw it comming, so i bought 3 of each about a week ago when they were only 4-5k each

i have crap luck with runes. never get anything i can use or sell since the last patch. luckily the day before said patch, i got a superior vigor rune and sold it for 100K. as far as using monk runes myself, i usually only take minors.....i am to scared about the health loss associated with the higher ones. i am a wuss, i know

Muahahahaha! So I've done it again.
The first thing I did when I came to Yaks Bend for the first time was to find not one but *two* superior vigor. I had zero clue that they were expensive, and was quite happy when I sold one for a whopping 3K. (I kept the other, though.)
Today I found a superior monk rune of protection prayer, and, as I couldn't be bothered to take it to a rune trader because everything except absorbtion and vigor is worthless, right?, sold it at the merchants for 39 gold!
I am teh uber rune trader!
Sidepocket13: they want the superior runes BECAUSE they give health loss. They want to have as low health as possible. Look at the thread about a solo build for UW, it's got details on why having low health is uber.

I like the new prices - I bought a couple of monk sups when they were like 120g and sold some of them for 3k+ now.

I'm sadly buying these at high prices, I'm broke now after buying 3.

Where would you put say minor vigor on a Monk not a Warrior but in general vigor rune on the armor? Thanks
twicky_kid
yes the monk build is catching on. really wish i had never posted my build on this forums because now i feel like i did have something to do with the prices. but hey i got mine at 250g each so i'm good.
most people will be wasting their money because the build is not easy to use at all. it takes alot of strategy and planning to use it right.
btw smite and pro are up to 22k...but healing is drop so fast its at 8k. divine favor won't be moving it will stay static.
its not just the solo farmer's faults. this was manipulated. i've seen people dump a few 100 thousand into one rune so the price would skyrocket. then turn around and sell it back to players just under the merchant price. by making the price raise he can sell the ones he bought at lower prices for even more. you make a profit off all the runes you bought except the last one. i think its more merchant abuse than the farmers. you need 5 sup runes for the build to work so in theory they should all be at the same prices but they aren't. that indicates to me that players are dumping thousands into 1-2 runes. since healing is down to 8k it won't stay there very long. that will be the next one that manipulate. its such a low price you can make a huge profit off the volume you can buy.

A long time back I put every monk superior rune on an old set of Droknars armor. With my new armor I run a minor rune on each piece so I don't lose HP, but luckily I can still solo by just mixing and matching armor. Granted I don't look good doing it...
