You need an activation key for each new account created. If your friend wants to play guild wars with his own account, your key will not work because it has already been registered with your account. It is possible for your friend to play using your account, but your account can only be logged onto one computer at a time.

You don't need to uninstall it from your computer, and you can install GW on his computer, the key numbers are only for creating accounts. I believe there's a place online that he could download the full client too (but not the account key of course.)

You can install Guild Wars on your friend's PC from the CD or download the client from the Guildwars.com website (and let it download the whole game from the Internet).

Then YOU can log into the game on your friend's PC and let him see how it works on his system. Just make sure he doesn't see your password when you type it in! If he likes the game, all he has to do is go buy it, run the client type in HIS e-mail address and create his account using his new CD key.

i bought the cd (obviously)

he downloaded the client, the performance isnt so bad so he'll probably buy it

but i have a question, is it cheaper to download or to go out and buy the full version?
