How Does Ranking and Fame Work in PvP?

I searched the site and didn't find it so figured I'd ask...new to PvP

1. How does individual Ranking work?
2. Can Ranking points be earned in any arena
3. What exactly is fame? Do I get stuff with my fame?
4. Does rank get me anything other than entrance into 4> rank only parties? Or is it just for show?

theres alot about this that i would like to know as well, like how much fame will acquire you an elk/wolf/bear flashy animations...

...and more importantly is gvg the only way to acquire fame?

You gain fame for winning battles in tombs only. after you get enough fame you go up in rank. rank and fame have no real effect on how the game is played it is just a badge of honor. every three ranks you get a new special /rank emote. the first one is a deer for rank 3 the 2nd at rank 6 is a wolf the 3rd an amazing tiger is at rank 9. off the top of my head i cant remmber the fame required for each rank though.
