has it only been removed because of gambling reference??I wish it could come back, even better, a raffle, buy tickets etc. its OK i guess.

It's still enabled in explorable areas. Grab 7 other people and head out to the wilderness if that's what you want.

That is, whether the gambling, the scamming, or the spam got it cut from town, it's still viable outside of it for whatever purposes, be they RP or more gambling.

Gambling with complete strangers and having no guarantee to actually see any money from winning borders lunacy.
Either make it controlled by the game (as in, a Gambler in every town), so people can participate in secure games, or keep it the way it is now to avoid scams.

It is still in the game right now, just not in towns.
Too many people spamming thier "casinos" and people claiming that they just "won", and new poeple step up and put down money. Lose on the roll or if they win the person leaves and the player loses money. Due to that problem, the /roll function was removed from towns.

i remeber the roll comand, it made lions arch single handedly the most annoying town by a land slide... now it only wins by half a land slide...

Bit of thread necromancy here.
If this command is disfavored, I wonder why it was -added- to the quick reference card for Nightfall.
It's not on my quickcards for prophesies or factions, but on my Nightfall CE there is was. I kept trying it last night trying to see what it did and it kept telling me it didn't work in outposts.
I figured it must have been some kind of 'acrobatics' command to roll around on the floor like some of the nightfall insect monsters do.
Wonder why it was put onto the card this late in the game if it went out of favor so long ago...?
