Best Pet?

I was just wondering what the best pet to use was, whether it is a Stalker, Moa, Wolf, etc. I don't want to tame an animal to level 20 and realize it sucks... so help please

bears are nice

At the moment, you can't tame bears, if I remember correctly.

Supposedly they're pretty well balanced. Moa birds have weak attacks, but make up for it by attacking very fast. Warthogs are very slow, but their attacks are much more powerful. I'm going to guess that Melandru's stalkers are closer to the moa end of things, and wolves more like warthogs.

As for bears - I've seen people CLAIM to have tamed one, but I've yet to see somebody wandering about with a bear following them around.

Thanks, that makes sense. I was just wondering that if the Stalkers were the best, why they would be the first one you tame; but, I guess this isn't how it goes.
