This is my PvE healer, with some mesmer skillls. I want to be able to maintain a strong energy flow, because i often find myself in need for energy. I made a prior topic about the mesmer skills and got some xcellent suggestions to tell me what you think of this.

Healing Prayers 12
Divine Favor 8
Inspiration 10
Dead 5

Orison of Healing - Heal target ally for 20-60 points.
Word of Healing {Elite} - Heal target other ally for 16-67 points. Heal for an additional 15-83 points if that ally is below 50% health.
Heal Other - Heal target other ally for 35-151 Health.
Healing Breeze - For 10 seconds, target ally gains health regeneration of 3-8.
Channeling - For 8-46 seconds, whenever you cast a spell, you steal 1
Rebirth - Resurrect target party member, teleporting him to your current location. All of target's skills are disabled for 10~4 seconds. This spell consumes all your remaining Energy.
Mantra of [Element] - For 30-78 seconds, whenever you take [Element] damage, the damage is reduced by 26-45% and you gain 1 Energy.
Spirit of Failure - For 30 seconds, target foe has a 25% chance to miss with attacks. You gain 1-4 Energy for each miss.

What is better rebirth or resurect?

This is a PvE build, correct?

I think this is pretty solid. I'll start by answering your question - Rebirth all the way. That skill lets you ninja-res your team after catastrophic failure and regroup, and the drawbacks are negligible under those circumstances. You can regenerate energy and wait for skills to unlock before trying again.

Signet of Devotion is pretty much a requirement. It doesn't do a whole lot by itself, but it's a bit of free healing that spares your energy for when it's needed more. It'll add up over the course of a battle and it lets you keep going even when running on regen. I'd personally drop Spirit of Failure for it - that skill only affects one enemy, has a fairly large up-front cost, and is pretty unreliable. You don't want to be paying too much attention to the enemy anyway.

Instead of Mantra of Element, I'd suggest Physical Resistance. You get to pick your spots in PvE, and it's an absolutely amazing defensive skill against the melee trains that are your biggest worry.

One last change would be to flip your Inspiration and Divine Favor attributes. Inspiration doesn't need to be all that high to be effective, and every extra point of healing helps.

Otherwise, this is fairly textbook, and you shouldn't have many problems running something like this on a team.

Peace,
-CxE
